phorbesie
the only info is from the 6yr old's younger sibling, so maybe he was never inside...or he may have jumped out early on...i guess they haven't located the kid yet. YearsAlongTheSea
From the way the police were handling the balloon in the video I saw, it's highly likely the cops killed the kid trying to pop the balloon...

phishtaper
poor kid is literally throwing up during the storm of interviews. his parents sound like media hounds: they've already done reality tv shows like wife swap and apparently the kid is saying they "did this for a show" ... junior, shhhhhhh, that was mommy and daddy's secret. Freak By Night
I certainly hope that entire family gets thrown in jail for long, long time. Edited October 16, 2009 by Guest If not for the hoax, at least jail time for naming the kid "Falcon".

Hartamophone
This whole saga is, in my opinion, a terrific illustration of what's wrong with how we get our news. 24-news channels and websites have to consistently fill up 24 hours' worth of programming, regardless of what is happening in the world. As the market becomes more and more saturated they have to compete harder and harder to get our attention. Thus, when something like this happens - something that, two hours later became a complete non-story - it becomes a massively overblown lead story and works to hold our attention (and ratings) for just long enough until they can entertain us with the next story to come along. 24 hour news makes us numb and dumb. Now, if you'll excuse me, I haven't checked cnn.com in over an hour. bouche
wI6UONWCq7A it's pretty clear here that the parents have exploited their young son. watching those parents lead him into answering what they want him to is very very spooky. He responds wonderfully with "You guys said that we did this for the show".
