------------------------------------------------

The Kruger Brothers are back in Ottawa on November 7 at St. Brigid's Centre (previously St. Brigid's cathedral) in the Byward Market, Ottawa.

Some call them "Jazz". Some call them "Classical". Some call them "Bluegrass". They are all correct. Experience what happens when these innovative and soulful world-class virtuosos put on an acoustic string music performance not to be forgotten.

Coming from Europe to the USA, mentored by Bill Monroe and Doc Watson, with a broad set of influences including classical, jazz, bluegrass and other genres, the Kruger Brothers have developed a unique and memorable sound of their own.

Uwe Kruger on guitar and Jens Kruger on banjo team up with bassist Joel Landsberg for performances that keep audiences alternately roaring with applause or staring in dumbfounded amazement, while the Krugers display their jaw-dropping talent, spontaneity, humour and sheer joy in playing music. At this show, they will preview a number of new songs from their upcoming release.

These guys really love to play.

they do. and it really shows. last night's show was great as usual. they had a drummer with them which added a whole new dimension. didn't see any of the usual suspects at the show though. where were ya'll?

the venue is an old catholic church and has not been at all renovated. so you're sitting in pews with the kneeling benches intact. bar was next to the confessionals. and there was a nice big blood dripping jesus on the cross on one of the pillars near the stage.
