More tech help! flv to dvd converter?

Every now and then I have to do this, and it's always such a headache trying to find freeware that doesn't do things like leave watermarks on the screen and so on. The one I've seen so far that seems most up to the task is SUPER, though it would also be nice to edit the video later (compile a bunch together, e.g.).

Any recommendations?

Let's say, hypothetically, it were to be able to show youtube clips in an environment where the site had been blocked. Something like flvplayer or even winamp could do the trick, but there wouldn't be time available to install those on the given computer.

you could also plug in an iphone to the computer to tether the internet connection of the iphone (assuming there's a dataplan) and avoid network blocks.

I think I've actually got it sorted out - downloadhelper > SUPER (to get it into avi, which may be all I need) > Windows Movie Maker, where I can edit it all. And I imagine there's no shortage of avi > dvd converters out there if need be. Luckily, ending up with something high quality is not terribly much of an issue.

Super works well, or it used to anyway. I haven't used it in a couple years.

I think newer nero vision might be capable of flv> dvd conversion. Surely Vision 4 converts avi to dvd. So back to you conversion question... I use OJOSoft and find it to do a good job while being very user friendly.
