Saw ZPZ in Victoria last year. Went in as a Zappa newb (which I still am, save for a few of the better-known tunes) and man, was it ever a skull-fuck. My buddy (a classically-trained guitarist and violinist) and I didn't say anything as we left the show. Just shook hands outside of the venue and said "Cool, see you later." Saw each other at school the next morning and pretty much simultaneously said "So, what the hell was that?" and had a pretty lengthy debrief, complete with failed attempts at explaining the show to people who dropped in on our conversation. Good times.

On another note, both of the venues listed above are beautiful places to see music, though I generally prefer the intimacy of the Capitol Theatre.
