Hal Johnson
Chatham-Kent lands on Boardwalk in new Monopoly. Southern Ontario city beat out big shots – Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal – for pride of place on new Monopoly Canada board game. No, seriously, its true. C- towns must have voted like a billion times. abraxas
I grew up in the chatham-kent area. I think its pretty funny that they are going to be the boardwalk as the entire area is falling apart due to the auto industry taking a dive and factories moving to mexico/china. Schwa.
^^what he/she said^^talk about your economically dying cities.....but on the upside you can buy a house in Chatham now for $70,000.
abraxas
Yeah, its really too bad. My parents still live there so I make it back a few times a year. There is some beautiful lakefront in the area. Sometimes I think I shold of stayed there. Buying a home in ottawa is like 300k plus
phishtaper
Buying a home in ottawa is like 300k plus yeah, and then you'd have to live in Ottawa too
abraxas
ha, its not so bad. took a while to get used to coming from a town of 2600..(dresden). When I do buy a place I hope to get something outside of the city though.
Swifty
^^what he/she said^^talk about your economically dying cities.....but on the upside you can buy a house in Chatham now for $70,000.00You would still be living in a house on King st. EAST for that price. The housing market here has rebounded in the past six months. Get the fuck off Chatham's back jack!
Schwa.
I didn't say WHERE in Chatham you could buy the house. I hear there are some pretty trashy shitpiles on Tweedsmuir too.
