bouche 103 Report post Posted June 23, 2010 that wasn't that cool. it's a little freaky to start bouncing up and down on the 11th floor. no one knew what to think for those 10 secs. if it lasted any longer than that, there would have been panic.people were visibly shocked from my office, though all those fire drills sure helped. no one hesitated to wait for an alarm...except for a couple of guys who were in the middle of eating their ribs from ribfest. The quake measured 5.5 and occurred at a depth of 19 kilometres, the USGS said.There were reports the temblor was felt as far away as Columbus, Ohio and Flint, Michigan.The quake struck at about 1:45 p.m. and lasted about 20 seconds.Citizen reporters are monitoring the story as it unfolds.
