Are you serious? The reason I would consider this show is exactly because of the NMAS. Every time I have seen those guys they have blown me away. Geniuses (and one is in fact an actual musical prodigy).

I find them my most disappointing band to emerge from the last decade. I was onboard with them when their first album was released in 2000 and saw them during their first Canadian tour and several more times before 2003. But every studio album they released since their great debut miss far more than they hit. Luther is a pretty weak songwriter and he's a pretty basic singer too. I like his guitar chops and the Allstars can be a very good live band depending on the set list. I think they should just stick to reworking/rediscovering old blues songs - and there's nothing wrong with that. Just ask John Hammond Jr. I know Luther was a guitar prodigy(and played on The Replacements awesome Please to Meeet Me album) and I also know who the late Jim Dickenson is. I believe I met you at the NMA show at Lee's a number of years ago; I believe it was for their Polaris tour.

Well...decided to forgo for now. May likely regret that decision, but an expensive month coming up and unless I could get great seats...which seem to be gone. Mind you I've never been to this particular venue I don't think so not sure how the seats are in general.

Haven't picked up this album yet either. Does T-Bone Burnett have his hands on this one too?
