The date on the show with Brian Wilson opening was approx. Jul 10 2001.

I have it on cd around somewhere.

Great show and the first show I ever went to solo.

Edit to add:

Yes BNL played with Brian that night, they performed the song "Brian Wilson" with slight abridgments to one line, instead of "Playing my guitar and building castles in the sun", Brian sang "Playing my piano and building castles in the sand".

Yeah, that seems right KK - I remember it felt like it was never going to end.....in a good way!

Was that when he was touring with Brian Wilson?

I think it may have been - I have some vague recollection of the Barenaked Ladies doing a tune or two with Brian Wilson - could that be right!?

Woah!

Well I am pumped for tonight regardless.

Could any of you Friends of Massey Hall lend your input on how the scheduling might go tonight? The ticket says 8pm. When do doors open, when would Paul hit the stage?

truly touching video!! good for her.

i too had a run-in with a musical legend!! although i never made it on stage, i did have a "moment", when i was at a Guess Who show, about 10 rows from the stage, falling down drunk, and repeatadly told "not to light that in here"(by an off duty cop), Burton Cummongs looked "me" right in the eyes..........and shook his head in disgrace!!!!

how cool is that!!!(needless to say, i was in rehab a year later!! thanks Burton, you made my show!) i still believe he had a part in me cleaning up my act. just think, if burton cummings is looking at me and shaking his head, i must have been in rough shape!! lol. have you ever seen the live video of "these eyes"? i think he also had a little problem with party favours!!

PS. wasnt i on the floor with you for that one Mo? or was i really that messed up? :chug:
