Velvet Posted November 1, 2011 Report Share Posted November 1, 2011 Hey all,Doug (from the recently defunct John Henrys) and I have taken over Tuesday nights at Irene's while Steve Marriner is on tour with Monkeyjunk.We have three weeks left: tonight, next Tuesday and the one after that. It's just the two of us; the setlist centers on old country and stuff that sounds like old country. Gram Parsons, Merle Haggard, Steve Earle, John Prine, Flaming Lips, and lots and lots of guitar solos.Music runs around 9:30 to about midnight, no cover. Highlights for me include Yoshimi, Friend Of The Devil, For The Turnstiles, Burn-Out, Hot Rod Lincoln, Willin', Dead Flowers, and Pumpkin.
