So, Manti Te'o

What a twisted story. A few thoughts:

1. I certainly believe that public figures are entitled to their privacy. But Te'o was all too willing to make "her" "death" a part of his story this year, so my sympathy level for him is somewhat lower than it might have been.

2. It certainly doesn't look like he was complicit.

3. It also looks like he overstated the role she played in his life, and he was a little slow on the draw in coming forward once he knew she never existed.

4. I look forward to next year when Notre Dame football regresses to the mean and is once again irrelevant.

Anyone else?
