On Tuesday, December 31, 2013, PleasureCraft will be playing at Mavericks in Ottawa, ON.

A Facebook event for the show can be found here. According to it

Ottawa's smooth music sensation PleasureCraft will summon the California sun on a chilly New Year's Eve.

Mavericks will play host for this special event to welcome the new year in warmth and style.

The theme of the night will be all things sunshine and sea. Guests are invited to dress in their favourite boating, beach, or cabana attire.

The night will also mark the official launch for the band.

PleasureCraft navigate the best soft rock and smooth music from '75-'85. Songs for sunsets, linen suits, and sweet salty air. The venerable "Yacht Rock".

Featuring a crew of seasoned Ottawa musicians (including members of nero, Acres, Brendan Flynn & the Terrible Liars, The Ethics, Seismic, and peasandcarrots), PleasureCraft lay down the smoothest hits by the likes of Hall & Oates, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Ace, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Toto, Lionel Richie, Huey Lewis & the News, Boz Skaggs, Phil Collins, Sadé, Elton John, and many more!

Join PleasureCraft as they sail into the sunrise of a new year!

The doors are at 9:00pm, and tickets are $20, available at Vertigo Records, Lauzon Music, and online at http://maverickslive.ca

Aloha,

Brad

Kid Charlemagne is one of those songs that sticks in the head. After each time I've seen pleasure craft, that song plays on repeat in my head. Super fun show. The level of detail in the sounds (tones, licks, keys, beats) and vocals that they pull off is mesmerizing.
