Davey Boy 2.0 Posted August 1, 2014 Report Share Posted August 1, 2014 In a move industry insiders are calling “surprisingâ€, McDonald’s has agreed that a new location set to open in Ottawa’s Westboro neighbourhood will feature a unique twist on the company’s world famous logo. The fabled Golden Arches will be flipped upside down to placate the initial outcry against the proposed move. A spokesman for the company, Dale Whitchakokou, said in a statement “McDonald’s corporation feels that it’s widespread brand recognition can be tweaked in this case in order help fit in to the neighbourhood’s overall feel and to promote a sense of communityâ€. Westboro council will also have a hand in choosing the restaurant’s décor, both in the interior and exterior and a percentage of the franchise’s profits will be donated to help local youths gain acceptance into private arts colleges.
