krs10
Hi Berman, Any sense of the current lineup? There seem to be different ones on facebook and evensi, songkick, etc.. One doesn't feature your band. Merci!
krs10
Gee, I was thinking about how glad I am that people are still carrying the torch. The Burt's Cat's Dead show last weekend was great, and grateful Sundays at Gate 403 are enjoyable every first Sunday of the month. Then there's the Mark T band playing Garcia band covers, Mars Hotel, Caution Jam, all in Toronto. Maybe they're not getting out of the GTA enough to meet your needs, but the city has got lots going on. I live in Peterborough and we don't have a lot in the way of Grateful Dead bands here anymore, we just play the tunes at home, in jams and around the campfire. The singer/keyboardist from Zuffalo plays GDead tunes with Burt's Cat and Grateful Sundays... do they do GDead in their band?
guitarberman
Hey Kristen I will ask the promoters to post a current lineup and schedule. im not sure if zuffalo cover dead, but its possible. and it would be cool if some of the Toronto dead cover bands travelled more. It was really cool meeting you a few grateful sundays ago.
krs10
Hey, my second post doesn't make as much sense anymore now that the previous poster removed theirs... it was a response to someone who asked if there would be GD cover bands at the festival. They were lamenting a lack of GD bands in Southern Ontario and I responded saying that I thought there was actually a lot going on, at least in Toronto. I guess they chose to remove their post. Caution Jam has played the ghost town so many times, so they do get around. It will be fun to check out some other bands I haven't heard yet. Anyway, thanks for your response, Berman. I hope to make it out, so I will say hi if I see you.
