The announcement might help eh?

Hey everybody.

I want to thank everyone that came out and made our "Art of Groove" Friday's launch a success last week. It was a lot of fun for us, and I hope everyone had a good time.

So here's to seeing you again this weekend...

Friday March 7th

KUSH

The Green Room

695 Cambie @ Georgia - downtown

$7.00

Kush are:

Gord Kushner - guitar (Sweet Potato & Noah's Great Rainbow)

Jason Metheny - guitar/saxophone

Tyler Gibson - keys (Fat Cats)

Cornell St.Jean - bass (Sweet Potato)

Blair Macdonald - drums (Lift)

If you like your jams served up with some edge and you like the call of the JAM RAWK, then Kush is the band for you. In the spirit of old schoolers like The Allman Brothers Band and current Jam Rawkers like Widespread Panic, Kush will give you the good, honest jams all night long... straight up.

And for Sunday March 9th...

KAEJEMA

The Fairview Pub

898 W. Broadway

$5.00

Kaejema are:

Kit Soden - guitar

Tim Townsend - guitar

Jason Taylor - bass (formerly of Smokin Frogs)

Pat Haavisto - drums (formerly of The Harvesters)

Kaejema is a four-piece band that play a wide variety of styles within their compositions and songs, best summed up in one word as FUNKDUBJAZZ. With Pat Haavisto (drums – formerly of The Harvesters) and Jason Taylor (bass – formerly of Smokin Frogs), their rhythm section is a dynamic, solid backbone of energetic beats and grooves. Tim Townsend and Kit Soden, on melodic and rhythmic guitars respectively, bring an irrepressible jazzyfunk feel and harmonic texture to the music with their blending of rhythmic counter positions and ambient, descriptive melodies. Vocal harmonies arise at different parts in their music to highlight the instrumentally driven grooves. These rhythmic layers propel Kaejema through many musical soundscapes, stimulating the minds, and bodies, of those listening and dancing.

Another good one in Vangroover.

Take care of one another and we'll see you on the weekend.

Peace.

Keither
