    ribs

i ended up mastering the temperature. it is a weber, and the patented webber vents really did allow me to change the temperature by opening and closing in small increments. the ribs came out fantastic.
  2. ramsay is on tour? I guess that's the new Fast Food book I've been seeing displayed everywhere.

    ribs

Ribs set aside with rub. a mixture of dark brown sugar, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, paprika, and garlic powder. Ribs after about 1/2 hour I've got a small amount of coal around one edge of the grill and some hickory wood on top generating smoke. the temperature is hovering around 250-300. I'm managing it by opening and closing the vent underneath.
  4. sounds delicious. that clocks in at 13 WW points for the batch. how many servings are you getting out of that?

    ribs

I'm going for round 2 of bbq/smoked ribs. I've got the webber setup for indirect grilling, but I'm having a hard time getting the temperature to stay at 250. I didn't measure the heat yesterday, and my rack turned into beef jerky. I had to go out and buy some backup meat for dinner. I'm very determined to figure out real ribs, so I went out and got a gorgeous rack at Saslove's. The temperature is over 400, and I closed some vents. I'm putting a meat thermometer in the vent hole over the bare part of the grill for the temperature from time to time. I plan on tossing in my soaked hickory wood when the heat is down another 100 F. Any tips would be appreciated. I do not want to screw this up again.

they have a website? I haven't seen a web server on that island, despite all of the other technology there. Michael's kid seemed to find a way to use the island's computer network to communicate with his dad, but that was just a LAN. If they had a WAN with access to the internet, you'd think they could send out an S.O.S.

That is what I thought, but i felt like it advanced a shitload. maybe it's the time travel action, but it just seemed to have jumped into a whole new world.

the show is fucked. so fucking fucked. I'm so impressed with the quality of the hi-def feed after watching dvd and downloaded versions up until the new episode that we saw tonight. was tonight the first new episode? It seemed like we missed something.
  13. If you're wondering if anyone in particular rather than in general is thinking about you, I'll step in and say that I have definitely been thinking about you, wondering where you have been, what you have been up to, and how you be doin'! Thanks for the post Z. I'm sure I am not the only one to miss your presence.
  14. "almost sold out" ist the ultimate internet marketing term. I'll bet that they aren'te kidding around here.
  15. I was there dude. I remember the posters around our school very well. I think yes to all three' date=' but Beatlemania may fall under "theatrical". I saw The Hip back in 86 (or was it 87) at my highschool before their first EP dropped (1987). They did originals and a number of Doors tunes. Good show. [/quote'] My first show was actually Gawain at Kingston Memorial Center in the summer between grade eight and nine. In grade 10, I was at the Tragically Hip show at Frontenac Highschool. I was just into the Beatles big time, and the only song I knew that they played was a Beatles cover (to me at the time) MONEY. It was AWESOME! after that, the Hip became part of regular listening throughout highschool. not because of the show, but because of road apples. I think Up To Hear was fun, but Road Apples became a staple at all the bush parties.
  16. once again, since it's such a great point...
  17. I heard from a colleague at work who's friends with a dude from the Cogg's that they are a really good band. The dude is the guitarist and is really good. I'd love to come out tonight, but I am broke and exhausted. Can I still purchase a raffle ticket for lessons with Dave Lauzon?
  18. I would post this for him, but I'm not sure that he would see it
  19. The first one from the strike was officially a HUGE kneeslapper. The next, not so much. Tonight's was EPIC. hahah. DWIGHT. oh man.
  20. I think someone said to me that they have the type of seating that they can remove and put back, so maybe that is the case. They might be making this a seating show. The upper deck was all numbered, but the floor was open for the Mule. Does that technology exist? I know that they can have a basketball one day in an arena and a hockey game the next night. This is 2008 afterall. We don't have flying cars yet though.
  21. I'm really jealous that Jaimoe saw this to a point where I may never speak to him again. It's like him banging a chick in high school that you wanted to bang. This movie created serious chills inside. It is an incredible set of music and the story would not live without it. I hope I have the opportunity to revisit this music, but live. damn you Jaimoe...damn you!
  22. what's the deal with Le Nationale? when I saw the Mule there, it was general admission. but when I check the tix on tmaster, i see: Level A Section D Row G Seat 239
