The love machine... since their press pic is somewhat obscure, here's a pic I took a few weeks back. Super pop-rock band, they're young with a kickass debut album... I'd say go early and check them out. Sean Preston (centre) is the heart of the band, great voice and sweet lyrics.

Sorry you're feeling down.. that sucks. What do I do? I kinda wallow for a while... then kick my ass into gear by getting out of the house and doing something that I normally enjoy... even if I dont feel like it... like going to a museum, or a beach or for a hike. It almost always works. Its just the kicking your own ass part that is hard to get going...

Thanks to the folks that have chimed in. I found a free legal aid clinic in Ottawa as Alexis recommended. Its a start. Anyone else have any expertise its greatly appreciated.

Hey So we have a rental situation where it looks like we may be taken to small claims court. Its quite stressful and would cost us 2 grand to get it all over with. Which is a lot of money to us. We need advice just to find if we have a case worth fighting (which we thought we did, till we received a nasty letter today.) Anyone gone through anything like this before? Should we consult with a lawyer? Stonemountain? How much does it cost to consult with a lawyer? This is starting to feel a bit intimidating.

I echo Allison's sentiments. Some of us have known about this since the beginning and have been quietly sending good vibes and love that way everyday. The positive is that while this may be a scary and traumatizing situation, Luke is there for a reason. What's important is that he's alive and possibly one big step closer to treatment. That is good. We want him better long-term not momentarily... and if friends and good vibes were the answer to that, he'd be better a long time ago, but he's not. Luke apparently has a really good lawyer and his family is supporting him, despite how he may feel, they love him very very much. *my fingers are crossed*

True... and that definitely wouldn't be considered a full solo concert... I think we're splitting hairs as long as we're debating the issue. But I also think that it is significant - the first time a band books a full concert without an opener at a venue like the Opera House. Its part leap of faith, part testing the waters... It shows they're willing to consider Toronto being a future stop in their tour schedules. Thats significant. By the way StoneMtn, you live in TO now dont you? Were you at the show?
