  3. http://mountainjam.com/hotels/ I don't know if the hotels with shuttle service listed above are sold out. There are options not listed at this link too. I drive in and out to a warm bed and shower each night when I go. If there's a group it shouldn't be too hard to rotate dd duties. Tannersville and Hunter have rooms and Windham has rooms 10 miles away.

  10. I am a Phil fan. The booh was directed at my bad pun where Phil was a lock( at Lock'n). I just can't resist a bad pun.
  11. Sorry I meant Lockn when I typed Virginia as its in Virginia and not another festival.
  12. In other news the Allmans have been added to Lock'n Fest. Widespread was added yesterday with a new band announcement each day this week. Phil Lesh and Friends at the Virginia fest is a lock(boooh !). Also look for Phil to play Vegas April 18-20 at Shapiro's new venue. Look for Mountain Jam's initial lineup announcement tomorrow.
  13. Dylan was already a folk music star with three well-received albums when he arrived in Toronto in early February 1964 to promote The Times They Are A-Changin’, released in mid-January. (It would be another nine months before Dylan was back in Toronto to play his first Massey Hall concert in November 1964.) While in Toronto in February 1964, Dylan recorded a half-hour TV studio concert for the CBC arts programme Quest. The set list included The Times They Are A-Changin’, Talkin’ World War III Blues, Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll, Girl From The North Country, A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall and Restless Farewell. But get this: Dylan performed while strolling around a pretend bunkhouse in a pretend lumberjack camp (it’s Canada, get it?) while a bunch of hired actors in plaid-shirted lumberjack costumes smoked cigarettes, drank coffee and pretended to play cards, write letters, sharpen axes, stoke the fire and so on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXqBjYH21mk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQBFjuCSTjw
  14. It was indeed just the Warren Haynes Band that opened. Warren's press release specificaly states that ABB will continue but I wouldn't count on it this far in advance of 2015. This would free up Warren to join in any of the Dead's 2015 plans. I wouldn't be shocked if ABB did continue with my first guess for guitars being Devon Allman and Jack Pearson.

  18. I only went 1 day and stayed at a friend's place. Camping was away from your vehicle and it appeared well run. Camping gives you access to a waterpark. I would get a room at one of the nearby hotels at the interstate exit where there were free shuttles. If you book now maybe it wont be too overpriced. As for the music I believe there were 4 days. On the Saturday I went there were side stages so there was continuous music when the main stage was quiet. Food was typically overpriced onsite with maybe a little more variety than a one nighter at this venue but not as good as other fests. This venue is typically a bust fest in the lot but chill inside. Since its a fest with all day music its not like you would want to hang in the lot anyway. I saw less trouble as people just go in right away. My overall experience was postive. The venue is on a mountain that is home to Copperheads and Rattlesnakes and one year there at Peachfest a Copperhead was removed from the stone drainage area between the lawn and shed. I've never heard of a bite there but its worth noting.
  19. Last year's early bird price was $99. Two nights of Allman Brothers and 3 days of music. I wouldn't be surprised if Ratdog returns this year. http://thepeachmusicfestival.com/

  21. Glad it was such an enjoyable show ! Was this your first time at the Cap? Any other plans while you are south? I see the show this weekend at the Barn is sold out.
