  12. Nice one, definitely one of the highlights. Those heavy weights sure seemed happy to be on stage. Overall it was a great show although I gotta admit IMO Corey Colour was pretty cheezy, on the flipside Corey Trombone was sick!

    Ubuntu

I threw Ubuntu on an old Thinkpad recently. Super impressed with how slick and easy the install went... There was still a little high geekery tweaking required to get everything just so, but it's a great OS and the performance is very impressive on such an old machine. I think it's finally ready to go much more mainstream. Curious to see how the new Unity interface is gonna be.
  14. hah - version 2 is up, fixed the last few seconds as it was cut off. oops... Now crank that bass yo!
  15. Hey Folks, My annual Dark Solstice mix is ready for listening! As is the tradition, it's a bit dark, a bit crunchy, very lewd and generally eclectic... Watch for N bombs, listener advisory recommended and all that... enjoy! Dark Solstice 2010 - Totality Streamable from the Dark Solstice Link above or downloadable from the link below: http://www.jamaholic.com/mixes/darkSolstice2010.mp3 :rainbow:
  16. Bump! Because SaltSpring is the most amazing place and this thread is full of great tips!
  17. Interesting... Never heard of Changa, but sounds like the same degree of purging is not required when smoking Changa as opposed to drinking Ayahuasca. If anyone is up for a proper purging though, they sell Ayahuasca kits at Petite Amsterdam in Etobicoke. I don't think it should be done without a guide though.
  18. That's a total outrage bones! I have no idea what I'd do in a similar situation but I hope you are able to get it resolved. Fucking people eh... Someone is poaching snapping turtles on our lake. Good times...
  19. Yeah exactly! Salt Spring and Cortes are supposed to also have cool courses. Gonna try and a hit a few of them. Did you stay over on Pender?
  20. Hey - I figure a good bunch of folks around here have probably spent some time on the left coast. I'm planning on hitting some of the islands, checking out Toffino and some combination of Salt Spring, Pender, Cortes, etc... Just wondering what your favourite places are out there. Any good recommendations for cool budget places to stay? Either camping or cabin or other... Thanks!
  21. If your interested in 'mayan astrology' 13moon is a cool site. Lots of interesting info. http://www.13moon.com The 13 moon, 28 day, natural time calendar makes more sense to me. The mayans also had a 365 day calendar, but it was the business calendar, because as noted it syncs the seasons, or more importantly the harvests. Somewhere along the way we went all business all the time, pulling us out of sync with the natural world. I notice the chart in the first post is pulled from mayanmajix which is the late Ian Lungold's project. It's definitely worth watching one or more of his presentations on google video. I've been meaning to go back through a few to look at his predictions for 2007 till now. http://www.google.ca/search?q=ian%20lungold&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbo=u&tbs=vid:1&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wv Also... There's a doc that covers some of the synchronicities between the mayan calendar, timewave zero, and what the 'web bots' are predicting. I can't find it right now, but I'll keep digging.
