Björk was great, heavy on Biophilia which isn't her best work but the show was great. Death Grips were the absolute worst thing I've ever seen / heard on a music stage.

haha Franti is outselling Phish. "HOW YOU FEEEEELIN', TREY?"

Could be the lawns are closed til they are in better shape? Or not. Just speculating.
-
they sold almost 14k tickets.I heard that as well. exact same number1400 walk up sales day of show
?
-
14k walkup sales right before the show??? Or the strong walkup sales before the show contributed to the 14k total tickets sold?
I assume it's impossible to sell 14k walkup tickets on the day of the show.

I really liked the Killer Mike set too. Super appreciative of the crowd too. Nice to see.

In that Star article the point about people going home in the dark is a good one.

The full passes were sold out before Fest began.
-
That's bullshit that they waited til so close to show time after most people had probably arrived or made it very close. Brutal.

Dave Hodge is a huge supporter of Canadian indie music. He travels to go to festivals etc. Good guy!

The Herbaliser will be awesome. I'm sad I can't be there.

The aftermath of Ribfest is ugly.
In so many ways.

I had a Camp 31 pulled pork sandwich after Willie Nelson. It was OK. I do all this food better at home but it was good to have it on a whim walking downtown late at night. And I bet all the downtown office workers really look forward to this week every year, very convenient for them.

Did the eventually move all the plastic chairs and tables out of the tent to make room for people?
I left shortly after the 2nd song because I couldn't see or hear anything well from outside the tent.

I unexpectedly have to be out of town from Monday through the end of the festival. I reluctantly have to sell my two passes, from Monday June 24 to the end of the festival. I'd like to get between $80-$100 for each of the passes. If you or anyone you know needs a pass for that week of the festival, please let me know.

Coworker received his yesterday

For the full pass it was ~$50 extra for paper tickets

If Crosby's jaw was still injured he should have worn a cage to protect it.

As the guy in charge he has to make every reasonable effort to prevent illegal activity happening. I don't think this will spill over to other *well-run* festivals like Bonnaroo etc - they do everything then can (and are required to do under laws / permits etc) such as car searches, people searches, patrols, etc and can't be expected to find every little thing. But if they see nitrous or powders or blatant open selling / consuming, they're going to make it known that the authorities know, either through a warning, a finger wag, an expulsion etc... The well-run festivals are businesses that don't let preventable liabilities ruin their chance of $ucce$$. People smoking weed in little groups in a field at a music festival is pretty tame - open and constant buying, selling and consuming of all ranges of drugs is stupid and just asking to be caught.

Astounding!

Reminder that it's Grand Prix weekend and traffic / parking / restaurants etc will be very busy! Have fun!

Had the best burger of my memory last week in Winnipeg at a place called Unburger. Here's a link to the menu. I had the Monster Mash.
