  3. Yes indeed this one's a great one to sweat to this Sunday. I haven't been wowed by much this summer, but this hit the spot. Set I and II solid, but that second set has it all, surprise factor, funk, ambient, smoke breaks, segues.

    Thanks for the link!

  4. I've just finished packing for the 6 week Auz-dyssey, cleared the camera memory card and have set upon the final task of selecting a few new gigs to explore. I was test driving this and

    a) it sounds incredible

    B) I promise each of you that I will play "Lauging" with the windows down driving up the coast (maybe in Nimbin for some street cred)

    Super upload!

  5. So we're leaving for Australia for a six week travelfest - Melbourne to Cairns - Campervan most of the way.

We've gotten tons of great recommendations but if you Skanks have any secret spots I should check out, post em here.

Otherwise, see y'all in August (maybe at that festival that's not happening in Limestone...)

  8. I very much like this album. Unlike some of the leaks out there of upcoming albums (I'm looking at you Blitzen Trapper), this represents a step forward for Band of Horses. The production values have changed/stepped up since the last album and there has been some liberal borrowing from the MMJ playbook, but the song writing and soaring vocals are still there. Sounded great on the back deck Friday with beer.
