Velvet and KevO, I was at both of the shows you are talking about. Cleveland: I was on a run that included about 14 shows over a month ending with a great three night run in NY (Syracuse Club Chameleon, Rochester Aud Theater, and Buffalo Aud) all with The Rheostatics opening. I actually taped that from the balcony, but it didn't turn out too great. Bills Bar was a three night stand if I remember correctly. We saw two nights and then headed back for a Phish show somewhere. I thank the Hip during those years for introducing me to some awesome musicians including the Rheos, Daniel Lanois, The Inbreds and Crash Vegas. They were also awesome people, helping my buddy and I out with their leftovers from the venue rider food. Memories......... Sean

Cool. I did the same thing through high school seeing them in venues ranging from The Odeon, to Club Chameleon and even Toledo Zoo! Its worth it, Sean

It's me, It's me! But I think I was way more handsome in the Homer suit.......... Thanks to all, really from the bottom of my heart and soul. The weekend was a total blast. I felt (and think I told you all at least three times) that I felt like it might as well have been my birthday on the first night. So many old friends from all of the years out on the road with ringing ears and grinning lips. What a very special group of people to have in one place for one reason. And better yet what a VERY SPECIAL REASON for us all to be there. If you know me, you know I love you. Thanks especially to Jay, Dave and Chris, it was magical....... You may not like REM now, but how can you deny the power and influence of that band on everyone from Pearl Jam to Green Day. Todays music might not be the same without them. Check your copy of Murmur or Reckonging or even Document for the evidence. Granted I hate everything after Adventures in Hi Fi, but you have to give them their props.

Help me! I am on priceline, but it wants me to make an offer on hotel room that I don't know where it is. Is this standard? Where is everyone staying? I need reasonable accomodations for Thurs, Fri and Sat for at least 2 of us. Sean

I went to Osheaga the weekend before with pretty much the same lineup and didn't come away with any of these feelings. Kudos to Quebec I guess? But its all in your approach. At O they were giving away samples of everything, everywhere and small ads were present at the side stages, but I saw 40+ bands for less than $100!!!- so what if I had to read that Ford had some new cars out. Why is advertising generally accepted as a fact of life, but when it comes into contact with music it becomes a place to lay down a soapbox? I watch TV everyday, so a couple of ads don't really faze me I guess........ Sean ps. It sucks their set was cut short, but was it because the organizers wanted to sell more cell phones, or because other bands ran long on their times, had technical problems etc?
