In 1969, the 14-year-old Jerry Levitan, armed with a reel-to-reel tape recorder, snuck into John Lennon's hotel room for a chat.

    It went like this…

  2. I'm heading to the Bay Area next week and heard that there is a Grateful Dead museum (or something along those lines) in and around the Haight-Ashbury area.

Has anyone been there? Does anyone have an address or website? Any other recommendations for Dead-related tourist attractions or general sights, sounds, and smells in the area?

    Peace

  3. I never thought DMB would ever release a "Greatest Hits" album, but I guess this is as close to it as it comes.

Yep, the New Meanies were at MLG in '98.

I saw all the Canadian dates that year with BF&FT, inlcuding that amazing #41 at The Corel Centre. That run also included a wild (and long!) Two Step at The ACC with Bela.

  4. Ah, Grindig.

I as well used to see them play frequently around Toronto back 'in the day.' I was first was introduced to them at a Zygote show, then would go see them play all the time here and there. Roman Tome' (percussion) was a big inspiration for me. Their last NXNE headlining show at Lee's Palace (in '03?) was killer. Thanks for the recording Good Rev. I'm just off to class now, but will take a listen to this when I get back.

Rev - isn't Derek playing in Holy Fuck now?
