  1. Ottawa RHCP concert now has $20 tix available, and not bad ones either - third row of the 300's.
  2. They have released more $20 tickets for Dylan in Kingston.
  3. Cool! I hope to find a seat at the back It gets loud in there. I wonder if Roddy Elias will shush the crowd. Anybody remember his between-song outbursts at the late-night jazz session when the Marsalis band was expected to show up but didn't?
  4. I was wondering the same thing - I didn't see it listed either but checking the ticketbastard page I see the 400 levels do include these $20 tickets. Probably it is available for other shows they didn't list too.
  5. Actually, a Bob Wiseman show at Zaphod's is among my top three concerts ever, and the time I saw Look People there stands as the weirdest night of live music I've ever seen or heard of. Nostril shrimp diving, two ice cream cones up the drummers butt, and oh, so much more.
  6. Thanks for that. I just bought two of the three available $20 Dylan tix. Picked will-call (free) but they still charged a $4 processing fee. Pretty close to true about the $20 all-in though. Thanks HaMike!

  8. Toronto friends: If you're into brilliant wacky piano playing you might be interested to know that Bob Wiseman is playing a very rare piano gig (with two other pianists) on April 26th. If ypu're not familiar with Bob or his piano playing, well just take my word for it: He's brilliant. https://www.facebook.com/events/1920481001531207/?notif_t=plan_user_invited&notif_id=1492088835808141
  9. Also, tickets have been on sale for twenty minutes and there are still 7th row floors for Kingston. Looks like Dylan is having a hard time selling tickets. I'm sure if sales keep dwindling Dylan will eventually stop bothering to go on tour.
  10. Crazy how much of Canadian Tire Centre is blocked off. I was happily surprised during presale to see that less than half the venue was available but today during regular onsale I noticed the 300 sections are now off the map. That leaves what, maybe 4,000 seats in a 20,000 seater? Regardless I picked up 5th row floors on the presale. The only downside will be missing The Donny McCaslin Group at jazzfest that night, but I'll deal somehow!
  11. Fact: Hudson will be so vastly better than Kenny Rogers in a musical sense that the two events cannot even be measurably compared. Fact: I will be at Kenny Rogers that evening. Fact: Sometimes I can be really, really stupid.
  12. That was the clip that helped me figure out the truth back when I was ten years old.
  13. Great lineup as always. Too bad King Crimson aren't on the list.
  14. Am I the only person who thinks it's wacky that Chuck Barris died three days after Chuck Berry? http://www.cbc.ca/news/entertainment/chuck-barris-tv-pioneer-obit-1.4035579 Maybe they were the same person after all?
  15. Also, if anyone gets any presale codes for Ottawa please let me know!
  16. Tons of dates including Ottawa on June 29, Toronto on July 5 and Moose Jaw on July 15. Tix on sale Friday.
  17. His was probably the worst concert I've ever seen and I'm so, so glad that I saw it. RIP Chuck Berry, the father of my favourite movement and my first ever hero.
  18. Co-headlining? That surprises me. Without googling I think the average person could name way more H&O song titles than T4F songs, no?
  19. Here's a interview/performance vid made from when they played here last year: http://ottawajazzscene.ca/news/11581-the-stretch-orchestra-video
