Chicago will be playing at Jazzfest, which is more interesting to me than the entirety of the Bluesfest lineup. Though I hope to see Yonatan Gat again. He's great. And Isbell of course. And yeah, Rodrigo y Gabriela is pretty impressive, but I've just never been into flamenco. Gosh, I hope Peter Cetera isn't with Chicago.

So you're saying the main/only drawback to the venue is the in-and-out parking situation? That sucks, but it won't be enough to keep me away. Bad sound, bad sightlines, stupid onsite rules or other things like that might be though.

Apparently the capacity will be 71,600. I understand the venue is considered to have a 100,000 capacity. Maybe they're keeping ticket sales a little lower than usual (for some reason) and it'll be a little roomier in there?

Why horrendous? What's your experience there? I have a couple of hotels booked but I'm not 100% convinced I'm going yet.

The collaboration last night was great too. Kevin with his bass player and drummer (two fine, fine musicians) plus a sax player, playing each others' songs. 'Twas great.

Hotel St. Andre is $150/night and 160m from the venue. Sounds like a party. Don't know about the separate beds though.

Now I reaiize that you were talking specifically about you freaking out because you'll be seeing Phish somewhere with legal weed. My band. (Oops...I meant "My bad".)

By the way, I'm making a joke to make a point. I don't scalp tickets, and a simple view of my Ticketmaster account would easily verify that I have been a "fan" for decades. Though obviously that doesn't play into it. It's frustrating to know that if you got selected then you are literally good to go for any/every show of the tour. Which is to say, if you didn't get selected then you are shut out from any/every show on the tour.

I didn't get picked for Verified Fan. They probably scanned my account history and discovered that I scalp tickets all the time.

Don't want to reign on your parade, but you do know that Phish has played dozens of concerts in places with legal weed, right? Fifteen in Colorado since legalization, another five at the Gorge, etcetera and so on... Though admittedly this will be the first time they've done so on foreign soil (right?...it's officially illegal in The Netherlands...).
