  1. Wow, the band I am in is actually going to be playing at Lose Yer Shoes, it is going to be very bizarre, and nerve racking, being on that side of the stage for once at LYS. We are the first band playing, The Merry Warners, on the Friday at 7pm (even though the schedule says saturday at noon). If you can come by for support, that would be amazing, I know it's a tough time slot with many not even getting there yet. We are probably going to be a little different sounding that the usual LYS fare, an no doubt about it less experienced, but hope you enjoy... http://www.myspace.com/themerrywarners
  2. I recently picked up a bass wah.. fantastic sounding... and if you resonate it lightly, it would probably give you that B3 fluctation as well.
  3. I'm not talking about porn sites
  4. Any amateur web designers out there? Our band is looking for somebody to create a kick-arse web page for us, but obviously since this is just a band thing we don't want to spend a fortune. We are in the Mississauga area, let me know. Kev.
  5. Hop'n to make it... no better way to celebrate the b-day.

Kind of an obscure one, but does anybody have any torrents for the band FM? Can't seem to find a valid one. Thanks!

    Lose Yer Shoes???

Think me and the family are gonna try to pack up after work today and make it up...hope we can get there.
  11. I usually look really forward to this one... this year, debating whether to go or not because I can't get there until Friday night, then have to leave Sunday, plus the weather is not looking the best... but I realized that I haven't heard or read anything about it. Is it still on and is anybody going? The post on the festival page has no replies.
  12. Who's all head'n out. Been way too long since I've been out debauchersizing in the woods.
  13. Romantic Warrior was the first album to get me into them... Stanley Clarke rocks. I think they are playing tonight in TO.
  14. Whoah... I gotta get on this board more often... I just noticed this... a Canada Day one this year... may have to do some plan rearranging.
  15. I know this should be in the WTB/WTS forum, but I don't think alot of people visit there regularly. I just bought a decent set of drums, but need all the hardware. Just wondering if any drummers out there have any hardware they want to sell. I don't need high-end stuff, but here is what I need: 1 cymbal stand (I do have another already) 2 cymbals Hight hat Snare Stand Stool base drum kick Just PM me with anything. Cheers! Kev
  16. Howdy folks, Happy New Year to all! Just a little reminder that we will be having our first CD release party on Thursday, January 31st at the Cameron House in Toronto. We want to go on earlier so that we can enjoy a little lounging afterwards, and possibly a litte after-dooing at my place. The opening band will be on at 9pm, and we should be on between 10 and 10:30pm. Your support would be much appreciated! Kev. www.myspace.com/luzatomica
  17. Hop'n to make it tonight with my bro.. Man... that dude on the far left looks like the big dude from Sin City.
  18. Interesting article here comparing the Prius to the Hummer... turns out this viewpoint believes the Prius to be worse for the environment... http://clubs.ccsu.edu/recorder/editorial/print_item.asp?NewsID=188 I still believe that aside from not owning a car, a small diesel car is the best choice right now.
  19. Can any of you folks who have been involved with the CD release process recommend anybody for helping with the design of the CD package and getting the graphics onto the CD itself?
  20. We are extremely excited to be complete with the mixing and mastering of the first Luz Atomica CD. You can check out the songs here: (Use the 2nd player under the 'About Luz Atomica' section, it has more of the songs... "In My Head" is one of my personal fav's). http://www.myspace.com/luzatomica We are playing on November 10th at the Cameron House in Toronto, and will probably be doing a CD release in early December. Stop by if you can. Cheers!

    Room Painting??

Yeah... thats the guy. One of the best quotes I have ever read, and sums it up pretty nicely. Willy, is Mark still on the board at all?

    Room Painting??

Scottieking.... I normally with you on that, up to this point, I have done all of my own painting and decorating, and take pride in it... but I am just not into taking on this job at this time, and know that I will be sloppy because of that. NewRider - thanks, I will look into Eagle.
  23. i am doing some renovating, and have a large amount that I want to re-paint (indoor). I typically do it myself, but really don't feel like taking this one on and don't even have the equipment to reach some of the areas. I thought I'd look into the cost of having it done for me. Can anybody here recommend any painters that they have used in the past? (Mississauga)
  24. Is playing at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre on Friday, October 26th for those who are fans... I have never seen anything at this venue, but I won't missing this one. Grooovy.
