Spin Cycle was a Burt Neilson Band offshoot that definitely included Mike Fliposwitch (sp).

Marc Ribot is coming to Toronto and Peterborough. Hope he adds a Montreal date!

    3/2  Peterborough: Sadlier House

Ribot's legacy has seen him collaborate with Tom Waits, John Zorn, Elvis Costello & a plethora of others. His numerous diverse bands and ensemble projects, plus seven solo releases have worked to define him as one of the most unique and versatile voices on the guitar. From no wave, re-imagined blues, free improvisation, and avant jazz to contemporary composition Ribot moves from one mood to another with careful continuity. Intricate notes float off his strings with a natural abandon. His solo performances see him swim through the menagerie style and genres he's touched on through out his decades of exploration in the avant guitar world.

You are right Kev...stay away from PTBM. Unless there is "pit only" or "reserved only" as options. I haven't checked yet.

DevO reacted to edger in Woodstock 50th anniversary concert reportedly in the works
I attended Woodstock '99...one of my first big festivals and overall had a great experience despite how green i was and being at the beginning of the end of my first real relationship. I left before or was completely unaware of any fires and riots. There was an interesting mix and at times tension between different scenes and vibes at times but the line-up tried to appease almost anybody.
I managed to see (in no particular order) Bernie Worrell, George Clinton and P-funk, Mickey Hart, The Hip, Counting Crows, Rusted Root, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, moe., Bruce Hornsby, Sheryl Crow, Dave Matthews.
Looking back can't believe I missed James Brown, RHCP's and string cheese. Compromises I suppose.
My girlfriends camped beside me had a feckin truck run into their tent in the middle of the night while they were in it!!! So thankful they weren't hurt!
    Been chasing festivals ever since.

I went to Woodstock '94.  I didn't want to go but my girlfriend at the time convinced me to join her.  I ended up having an amazing time and the whole thing was nothing but great vibes.  Saw excellent music too: Dylan, Peter Gabriel, The Band, Metallica, Youssou N'Dour, The Allman's, RHCP, Santana...it was pretty great.
Who knows?  Maybe it'll be pretty great again.

    SPAC was a great time!
Gorgeous day, ate BBQ, very chill older crowd, lots of GD shirts. Nathaniel Rateliff's set was plagued by bad sound, so not great. Sturgill's set ripped. So so loud, almost too loud. Well yes it actually was too loud, but I like it loud so... He was awesome. Neil and the Promise of the Real was undoubtedly the best set of the night. The Four Neils, haha, you know how he does a lunge, bend over, thrash on guitar, lunge and stomp, etc. So he was doing that but so were the three other guys up front (Lukas, the other guitar player and bass player). they were all dressed similarly and sometimes when they would get into a circle or huddle and all four be doing the lunges and jumps it was just sooo funny. Tell Me Why, Heart of Gold, Powderfinger, Lotta Love, Show Me, Are you ready for the country, Love to Burn, Ohio, a new song, and I'm forgetting a few. Closed with a great Rockin in the Free World. Willie's set was Ok. His age is showing in his playing and his voice is not strong, there were some nice singalongs, but overall a mellow set, a family vibe. Beautiful night with an almost full moon in the sky.
