Embarrassed to admit that I saw Nickelback there. But that was before it was cool to hate them. Other memorable shows for me at Zaphods include Monster Magnet and I Mother Earth.

A sad loss for the local music community. I haven't set foot in the place in over 10 years, but it was my regular haunt in the early to mid 1990s. Plus they brought moe. to town just over 20 years ago.

Loved the Colonel. Never saw him live, but he was crazy great in the movies "Slingblade" and "Outside Out". What a way to go - while performing at a concert in his honor.

Well, I was WAY off! But I think I was predicting what I hoped would happen, rather than a reasoned analysis based on past performance, stats, injuries, etc. Still hoping to see solid representation of Canadian teams in the next round. Go Sens Go! Go Habs Go! Go Leafs Go! Oilers too. Bummer about the Flames being swept.

I was there too, not for the March 20th show but for the March 21st show. It was my very first Dead show. I managed to see several more before Jerry passed a few years later. Bruce Hornsby was definitely part of the proceedings that weekend in Hamilton.

I totally agree c-towns. An awesome show at a horrible venue! the F-shed is exactly as advertised - it's a big fucking shed! Zero insulation, nowhere to sit, and the bathrooms are porta-potties. Basically, it's an outdoor venue trying to pass itself off as an indoor venue.

Tears for Fears and/or Hall & Oates. Though neither are jazz, they just announced a co-headlining summer tour with dates in the area around the time of the Ottawa Jazzfest.

Not bad!

Not a bad lineup - for people much younger than me! That said, there are more than a few acts that I want to see this year. Last year I went to none at all (mostly because I was on Phish tour). I'm taking any more discussion of the fest over to the official thread as there is no more need for rumors.

Not sure yet. I might even just head home after the show. I don't drink so that's no problem for me. Hope to see you there though! The show in Burlington a couple of weeks ago was off the hook!

It's been a long time since I've been rickrolled, but it just happened from the unlikeliest of sources - moe.org I went to their site to check out the details for the March show in Syracuse, and they've got a moe down banner! Right on! They're doing a moe.down this summer. Totally disappointed when I clicked the banner link.
