scored 2 tickets to the 2nd gig; £55 each. in 14 minutes 150,000 snatched up selling out the two announced gigs for Heaton Park! ... a third date just announced.

i was fortunate to be there. place went nuts when Gilmour showed up on top; the volume level of cheers just started growing and growing when people realised it was him up on the Wall!! Then at the end for Outside the Wall, Roger broght out Gilmour again, along with Nick Mason. Roger made mention about how 30 years ago they played the Wall at Earl's Court along with Rick, yada yada, Roger started to cry a bit... it was touching overall. But Comfortably Numb left me in a state of delirium for 10 minutes :dazed:

I caught the first Buffalo Bill at the Great Went after a 200+ show hiatus. I'm awesome! Also caught it at Worcester 11/27/98 and Deer Creek in summer 2000. Triple Awesome! Think I've seen it again but lost track when and where. Can't keep track of my awesomeness.

who needs GD songs? depending how the movie plays out, if the film chronicles Garcia's pre-GD dayz, the film can still survive minus the GD hits. Just have actor-Jerry pick away on traditional bluegrass ditties with the Sleepy Hollow Hog Stompers and then show the transition into the Warlocks era 60s rock/psych/blues cover tunes. And if they go into the Acid Tests, I doubt the film will run into trouble with experimental freak-out jams. Take a look at Gus Van Sant's "Last Days" that chronicled the dreary days leading to Kurt Cobain's suicide. As I recall, no Nirvana tunes were used, and the film still succeeded imo. There's a far-out dramatically intense scene where actor-Kurt strums on the guitar and sings his pain away... Or that Jimi Hendrix biopic, "Hendrix" that just showcased actor-Jimi performing the cover songs (Hey Joe, Wild Thing, etc...). Jerry's movie can showcase his early days and conclude by fast forwarding to the 90s as the GD encore with

SBD's from '92 are particularly awesome in sound and spirited-tight performances. for a casual listen, 4/21/92 set 1 is nice with an awesome all-around second set (hilarious narration in Forbin's and a sick Tweezer!!). 7/25/92 has solid versions of Jim, Foam and Santana+ sit in on YEM and Funky Bitch. 11/19/92 also ain't too shabby!
