  3. i enjoy paying $5 for a bottle of water. thats why I go to concerts. i go to a lot of different sorts of shows with various friends, and I know a lot of others who I tend to see only at shows. does that make it a "community"? i dunno. i just know that i dont tend to see my grateful dead friends at erasure shows. and i've never done drugs or had sex.

  9. sorry, i meant "hot" as in, she could grind her heel into your crotch and not miss a beat. Precious is one of the best female vocal recordings ever, i think.
  10. please, bjork couldn't hold courtney's vomit cup. chrissie hynde is major hot, though.
  11. i'll have a word with her tonight, she may be into organizing it, although she's usually very busy sleeping, eating, peeing and woofing at squirrels besides, other than Courtney Love, who else could play Dogfest? (and fwiw, I do think Ms Love is simply one of the best female rock singers ever!, so I joke with love)
  12. that's because we have maybe three good venues .... hmmm, hold on, did I just contradict myself? over the weekend at the GO Festival, it became very obvious that even Waterloo has a lot more good venues than Guelph. ok, we suck.
  13. do I actually have to count back to figure out my rank? i dont see it.
  14. how does one figure that out?

  17. ya know, i never trusted unicorns ...
  18. i saw the pumpkins a number of years ago at massey hall and really enjoyed them. the most memorable part of the show was the ending when they invited people up onto the stage with them, individually handed off their instuments to these people instructing them to "just play" and within a couple of minutes the band had all left and this bunch a non-musicians were jamming away - very badly. it was kinda bizarre but fun. and for sure hart, james and d'arcy were/are a huge part of this band. the v-fest tanked last year because of organizational stupidity too. i seem to recall that the flaming lips only played a half hour set or something because of delays throughout the day and a curfew on the island. people were pissed! in fact, the band actually had to apologize for the fiasco the very next day. toronto island is the single worst venue for this sort of show, i thot they would have learned from that blunder, but i guess not. i dont hold out much hope for this year's event if it's run by the same jokers who "attempted" to run it last year. my dog could put on a better festival.
  19. im tired, too tired to figure out a new theme. up for grabs!

Bob Dylan - Highlands (Haliburton for 10 yrs) 7. The Prince Brothers - Lake Of Bays 8. Bourbon Tabernacle Choir - Solitude Mama (reference to North Toronto ... "old neighbourhood") 9.
