  1. Has anyone seen him with this group (Bona Fide Scoundrels)? just wondering if it's something he's throwing together for this show or whether it's actually a thing. cheers
  2. I was so excited until I realized I will be away that week and can't go. Have fun folks! On the heels of announcing their new album, South of Reality, The Claypool Lennon Delirium has shared the LP’s second single, “Easily Charmed By Fools”. In addition, the band has announced a 12-date 2019 spring tour. The Claypool Lennon Delirium—led by Les Claypool and Sean Lennon—will open up their tour at Toronto, ON’s Danforth Music Hall on April 10th before stopping at Philadelphia, PA’s Fillmore (4/12); New Haven, CT’s College Street Music Hall(4/13); Boston, MA’s House of Blues (4/14); Brooklyn, NY’s Brooklyn Steel (4/16); Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club (4/17); Asheville, NC’s Orange Peel (4/19); Nashville, TN’s Marathon Music Works (4/20); St. Louis, MO’s Delmar Hall (4/23); Minneapolis MN’s Varsity Theater (4/25); Chicago, IL’s Thalia Hall (4/26); and Detroit, MI’s Majestic Theatre (4/27). In October, The Claypool Lennon Delirium announced the coming release of their second album together, South of Reality, due out February 22 via ATO. South of Reality is the follow-up to 2016’s Monolith of Phobos, the band’s debut record that displayed their fascinatingly raw authenticity, and 2017’s Lime And Limpid Green EP, which featured psychedelic covers of Pink Floyd, The Who, King Crimson, and Flower Travellin’ Band.

    (Psst...)

Pure joy. i don't have setlist or know all the songs (nero noob) but I believe the first set was the SoOn album, and I think the second set had Breakline, Zedonk, Downside up and it closed with Lemondust> Baba O'Riley> Lemondust (with Velvet on piano) thank you so much nero!! And I'm sad that no recording exists. RIP BradM.
  4. Very cool! the Montreal dates are March 7-9 at the Corona Theatre
  5. Ooh, what did they buy for 6K? thanks Mike!
  6. Haha..last night Velvet said "why aren't we going to Vegas?" and then regretted it since i was all "it's not too late!!" and started looking at flights There were Aeroplan flights available still but it would have been hard. I didn't really want to go to Vegas anyway, I got back from Chicago so tired! Hope I can stay up to watch the show.
  7. Free webcast from Nashville tonight!
  8. SPAC was a great time!Gorgeous day, ate BBQ, very chill older crowd, lots of GD shirts. Nathaniel Rateliff's set was plagued by bad sound, so not great. Sturgill's set ripped. So so loud, almost too loud. Well yes it actually was too loud, but I like it loud so... He was awesome. Neil and the Promise of the Real was undoubtedly the best set of the night. The Four Neils, haha, you know how he does a lunge, bend over, thrash on guitar, lunge and stomp, etc. So he was doing that but so were the three other guys up front (Lukas, the other guitar player and bass player). they were all dressed similarly and sometimes when they would get into a circle or huddle and all four be doing the lunges and jumps it was just sooo funny. Tell Me Why, Heart of Gold, Powderfinger, Lotta Love, Show Me, Are you ready for the country, Love to Burn, Ohio, a new song, and I'm forgetting a few. Closed with a great Rockin in the Free World. Willie's set was Ok. His age is showing in his playing and his voice is not strong, there were some nice singalongs, but overall a mellow set, a family vibe. Beautiful night with an almost full moon in the sky.
  9. a "little" love affair with 6 men?
  10. Kudos to Cityfolk for a really awesome week of music! Cityfolk is the new Jazzfest - great layout, not too crowded, close to home and a great lineup! And what a great lineup it was this year! I enjoyed the sets that I went to see on purpose - David Byrne and TTB - but also was introduced to a lot of great stuff that I had never heard of before. Weather was stellar throughout, and it was so much fun to see so many friends over the course of the week! Yay!
  11. We won't get Terra Lightfoot at our Outlaw Fest show, but I saw her last night at Cityfolk. I enjoyed her set, I liked everything about her! Would check her out again for sure.
  12. Bummed that I won't get to check them out, I had been looking forward to it. But they are up against David Byrne and I'm not missing that for anything (even though I've seen him 4 or 5 times before). You can try to convince me to though Enjoy the show tonight!
  13. I'm going Wednesday and Thursday

  15. Wow edger you made out ok! Sounds like you got the news just in time to make some new fun plans. we were very lucky also to have such a convenient plan B, and had such an awesome time cottaging by the lake. disappointed about the lost Curveball shows, music, art, and fun. But feeling very fortunate with our situation. Thanks to everyone who made it happen.
  16. Yeah, wish I could make it to one of these
  17. I agree with all of that. The beers were very tasty though so thank you for introducing me to that place!
  18. Really enjoyed this year also! Highlights for me were the Foo, DMB, Sturgill, and just the fact that most every night there were friends to be found at the fest, like days of yore. good job everybody!
  19. That was my first DMB show and I thought it was fantastic! Really full sound, great interplay, jamming, funky, jazzy... Imprssed. Would definitely go see them again!
