  1. [color:blue] Aloha Bitches!! Wonderin'where 'ole Magnum's been? Well I've been workin' harder than a drunken polynesiam pimp during the iron man weeked to create my own beer. Ahhh yeah. You heard right...with hard work, a chapion mustache and shorts so tight they could castrate an lesser man, I have created my own beer! [color:black]Read the awesomeness!! It was bound to happen sooner or later... A Magnum P.I. tribute beer! Starting in June, SweetWater Brewing Company, a 49,000-barrel microbrewery in Atlanta, is producing a specialty Imperial Pilsner aptly called Magnum I.P.! SweetWater says, "At 100 IBUs and 9% ABV, this hairy chested Imperial Pilsner is guaranteed to rev up the Ferrari and take you on a mustache ride. Medium bodied like Rick and crisp like T.C., this IP's short-shorts on the sea shore fit snug on the 2 lbs. per barrel of Cascade and Sterling hops shimmied upon this sucker." SweetWater beers are found only in the US Southeast (Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and South Carolina), so this beer will be hard to find for many people. Still, what a great idea! Special thanks to Beernews.org for letting us know about this great new product! Beer News Story [color:blue]Who wants to chug me?

  17. Riddle me this why is that every time I see a solo band project of a member of the Grateful Dead it is a way better experience musically that seeing the rest of the band back together. Seems like they are just more comfortable in their own individual settings. Last night at the Highland bowl Bobby and Ratdog played a very tight and well improvised set with many higlights. I enjoyed this show 100+ more than the Dead in Buffalo which seemed pedestrian at best. Here's some pics from the show.. [Reviews] Jam > The Music Never Stopped > Big River, Senor > Loser > New Speedway Boogie > Even So > October Queen > The Deep End > Samson and Delilah > Stuff > Black Peter, St. Stephen* > The Eleven* > Turn On Your Lovelight* E: Ripple *-with Jackie Greene (Guitar/Vocals) Previous ''Turn On Your Lovelight'' 4/3/2008 [61 shows] (Jackie Greene opened) The Senor was brilliant! Mark Karan has wonderful phrasing.

Hearken back to a time when Steely Dan, Hall & Oates, Toto and the Doobies were in and all you needed to be cool was you 8-track and Hawaiin shirt to be cool." What is Yacht Rock? Yacht rock" is a name for the popular soft rock that peaked between the years of 1976 and 1984. Significant "yacht rockers" include Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Christopher Cross, and Toto. In the musical sense, yacht rock refers to the highly polished brand of soft rock that emanated from Southern California during the late 1970s and early 1980s. In part, the term relates to the stereotype of the yuppie yacht owner, enjoying champagne and smooth music while out for a sail. Additionally, since sailing was a popular leisure activity in Southern California, many "yacht rockers" made nautical references in their lyrics, videos, and album artwork, particularly the anthemic track "Sailing" by Christopher Cross. Yacht Rock music is commonly described as, "A little bit better than elevator music!" The foundation of the yacht rock scene was a local pool of versatile session musicians who frequently played on each other's records. This professionalism often gave yacht rock recordings a high level of sophistication in composition, arrangement, and instrumental skill. The most popular yacht rock artists enjoyed considerable commercial success. During its peak years, yacht rock dominated the Grammy Awards, with Christopher Cross and Toto sweeping the major awards in 1981 and 1983 respectively, feats consistently derided by Grammy prognosticators.
