After careful consideration I have to say that even through my jamband/progressive rock influences, as a musician, my favourite show at the Ottawa Bluesfest was The Swell Season. I bailed on Rush against my instincts to see this show and I absolutely loved it. What great musicians, brilliant show! I'm listening to their stuff right now and I am awed at the beauty... FB

I completely agree with Northern Wish. Ever since I have been going to shows people complain non stop about the band no matter what they do (remember the 45 minute tweezers everyone was wining about, too experimental). These guys are playing as well now as they ever have. The music changes as you change. I find their fan base fucking hilarious. People love to criticize and yet still come to the shows time and time again...? And what the fuck is wrong with nostalgia anyways? It's a great feeling.... FB

More info: Phish played a cover of the song Watcher of the skies by Genesis off the album Foxtrot (1972) at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony for Genesis of which Trey was the presenter. They also played No reply at all. It was broadcast on the channel Fuse HD. FB.

Hitting up Miami beach before and after the show made it an epic adventure for me and my friends. We also shot footage each day. That was the best sound quality show I think I've been to and the best overall show. It changed lives! FB.
