  1. Well...I know I've had very few experiences over the last few years to compare to, and at a very reflective transitional stage of my life but I thought this was a fabulous show. It could have been something I ate but the band tore my brain apart, helped me unpack a few things and shake it all out in equilibrium. Such a treat to be back in the pit in the thick of it all. Also a real treat to run into so many freaky friendly faces that I hadn't seen in so long. Including a bunch of you Ottawa folk. It's reassuring knowing you're all still out there lighting up the world with your unique brands of vibrancy. I am grateful to have survived. The circusbus ride in was by far the most reckless, crazy ordeal I've ever been a part of. I honestly don't know how we didnt make the news. Driver had a death wish....and some serious cosmic skill and luck I'll give him that. Grateful for the divine forces that somehow managed to hold it altogether to avoid mass carnage....an experience to be sure but I think that's the last time I ride that particular train. Getting too old for dice lol. Blessed be the phish. I found myself thinking during second set....with the current state of the world and all the layers of traps and suffering and vacuous exchanges out there, out of ALL places I get to be here right now. Lucky duckies.
  2. Sorry to have missed this, but was able to catch Mike play a couple of times during this stay, which was a treat. I also saw you play ersh at the Budweiser stage opening for The Black Crowes. Awesome to see.... Now let's all spam Mike!

  6. Sometimes a little help is needed to grasp the depth of the rabbit hole
  7. Man I miss you guys!! Was just thinking about that the other day. Fun times out there. Been rewatching the matrix series. Taking notes
  8. Not sure how I feel about Jonah Hill playing Jerry, but I trust in the project. Scorsese apparently on board to direct and Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will executive produce along with Jerry's daughter Trixie Garcia. Dose & drive-in anyone?

This show was fantastic. Beautiful brand new venue that the Hammer so desperately needs as with time we've lost a lot of spaces. The band was new to me. Super tight, great originals, you can feel the Dead and Allmans influence when they open things up. An engaging and captivating frontman and I was really impressed by their multinstrumentalist keyboard player who also busted out the fiddle and acoustic guitar. Great harmonies all around and a packed enthusiastic crowd. I honestly had almost forgotten what it's like. Grateful.
  10. Yes a great read and sentiment at the end. I can only imagine.....
  11. Nice run of gigs there.....still truckin'
  12. Ughhh.....killin me. Was supposed to see them in Cleveland last night and ArtPark today. Resigned I guess. But cool to see this nonethless

  16. Fight back;) But agreed live streams have been a tether
  17. Lol....classic. My bets on Skern too lol. Also, I remember once at the chalet, Bren coudn't get enough of playing to himself in the mirror after he had freshly touched up his frosty tips bwahahah......"Hey you guys do you mind moving over? You're blocking the reflection of my frosty tips".....Oh to be one's own muse. Pretty sure I slept under the staircase...all class.
  18. Yes I have a vague recollection of this as well. Didn't 'Uncle Ted' end up with his mug on that site as well? I think it was actually a photo from ghost town. By the way Greg do you remember that first come together. We all drove up in your van. Arrived in the dark and was trying to park somewhere in the perimeter. Whichever hippy was navigating you as we backed in ended up getting you wedged between two trees. Lol. That was a great weekend. I think I drove your van on from there to the Gleesons' chalet in Thornbury/Collingwood. More good times. That seems like a lifetime ago.
  19. It felt weird reading that last sentence of yours! lol Kind of in the same boat....hard to get too revved up over anything with so much uncertainty. Had considered Hershey but decided to wait and see on that. I'm sure Vegas will be near impossible to acquire....maybe Fall... Maybe so and maybe not
  20. A nice little tribute....I'm sure we could come up with a list of our own. Nice to see a shout-out to Hamilton's own Casbah and for you Ottawa folks House of Targ also made the list. https://www.cbc.ca/musicinteractives/features/50-magical-canadian-concert-venues/ontario#jumptosection
