  1. Some colleagues from my university are involved in a pretty cool study. Check it out: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/article-living-in-a-world-without-sound/?utm_source=Ryerson+Today+Contacts&utm_campaign=d10c8be48e-20191202&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_4843a7a799-d10c8be48e-53446655
  2. Nice! Was hoping to catch Goose as well, but was too hesitant on the ticket purchase and then they sold out. Caught Floodwood post Friday night show and they were rippin! Holy mandolin!
  3. Top notch photogeek! Hope you got to the show bONES. I would have liked to have caught this if I was omnipresent
  4. Well I guess it's been about three years exactly since I had the pleasure of seeing moe. at one of my all time favourite venues (town ballroom...not a bad seat in the house). Soooo tight as per usual. Sat night's set in particular was a burner but Friday was also full of less familiar jams that put me right in the zone. Ended up about third row centre left both nights. Right in the pocket. And with good sight lines for Jim...im not sure if what he plays is technically considered a xylophone but he is a sonic genius. I get completely entranced by him every show. Ridiculous. Long live moe....
  5. I was seeing front section for $300 ish which is still too much for me. Seemed like 200s in the middle were best value. I have mixed feelings about all of it but in the end I love the crowes, absolutely love their catalogue and shake your money maker is a killer album that deserves some celebration. If the brothers are truly patching things up on some level that makes my heart warm too. First time almost ever that I've seen Chris repeatedly admit to and apologize for being a dick and reflect on where he was coming from. The only constant is change that's for sure whether we like it or not
  6. This is a great piece discussing how Derek and TAB have been channeling life into their latest music: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/entertainment/music/article/Tedeschi-Trucks-turns-sadness-into-hopeful-14803313.php?fbclid=IwAR1jjlt521OicYCRygXbqgSs5YiP0VWD5nSiioKBqxG2ym6cQx84fllb1ZM
  7. I've actually never heard of the Coca-Cola colliseum
  8. Neil reflects on his 50 year career, making music and upcoming documentary: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/q/friday-oct-25-2019-neil-young-robert-eggers-and-more-1.5333761/neil-young-the-music-icon-on-his-50-year-career-making-music-and-his-new-documentary-1.5333796?fbclid=IwAR3WXA1LogoP4PtLowrfpf4OFMC8E1TFKpD-XVMhFMMgLyFCO0_vv3q2QnM
  9. https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/report-black-crowes-reunion-2020/ Don't know if Neal's passing has anything to do with this or if the money would have compelled them regardless. Seeming likely
  10. Adam opens up... I thought the interviewer was very tasteful. https://relix.com/articles/detail/adam-macdougall-on-the-future-of-circles-around-the-sun/ Neal shared the stage with Krasno during his final performance.
  11. What an imprint....his words so fundamentally shape the worldview of so many. For years to come
  12. They will now be providing a FREE stream to this tribute for Neal Casal, although I encourage all to think about donating to Musicares if one is able https://www.grammy.com/musicares The live stream is expected to start at 8pm Eastern https://www.jambase.com/article/neal-casal-tribute-concert-live-stream I too was quite surprised to see CATS deciding to proceed without him, and have mixed feelings about it. He obviously had given this a great deal of thought, which I don't know whether to find more or less comforting....I think most of me feels it's even more sad. Yet the opportunity for the music to morph and live on is positive in its own right, and I have full empathy for the the other members of the band whose livelihoods and unity were so drastically impacted (especially Adam). I can only imagine how difficult and conflicted the decision must have been for all of them to continue. We shall see how it all plays out. I wonder if they will announce and/or debut a 'replacement' prior to the benefit on Wednesday?

  15. Gotta say a real shame there are no Canadian dates. Looks like an interesting cast of folks including Warren Haynes, Medeski, Lukas Nelson, Don Was etc. https://www.jambase.com/article/warren-haynes-john-medeski-lukas-nelson-last-waltz-tour-2019
  16. Yes I can't begin to articulate the way this man and his music and vibe and soul changed my life. So grateful and so gutted. A major void...so much love to all that felt and knew him this way and far deeper
  17. I seriously didn't know the plague was still a thing. The absurdity is comical on some level you have to admit. Glad the show is going on. Sorry to those who will end up sleeping in a ditch. https://www-m.cnn.com/2019/08/20/us/phish-colorado-plague-prairie-dogs-trnd/index.html?r=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F
