    Waterfalls...

Kevin is great at doing that. I'm sure just about everyone knows his (The Gourds) cover of Gin & Juice, but they have also pulled off Feelin' On Your Booty, No Diggity (solo, on mandolin) and a handful of other songs not normally played in the alt. country/roots scene. This is his solo stuff though - Shiny Ribs.

Stick it out for a minute or two, this song is awesome. Kevin Russell (Shiny Ribs/The Gourds)

    BEER!!

Agreed. Great beer and still my starter for poker night. Yeah, stick to the bottle.

    BEER!!

After seeing this at the LCBO and remembering your post, I gave it try. I enjoyed it, but don't know how often I would buy it. Funny thing was, later the same night I was in Paris,ON to see Doug Feaver play and the bar he was at served this (and another, I forget) on tap. $6 a pint and it was worth it. I really enjoyed it on tap. :chug:
  5. The girl on the car should be wielding a Great Sword. Accept no substitutes.
  6. No worries. I can search em out as well. Just thought I'd take a stab here first. Thanks though. I'll repost a link, or up the Garcia versions when I locate what I'm missing.
  7. Thanks for posting that list Kev, I wasn't sure if I'd grabbed all of them in time. It appears I did. Although, it seems I'm missing some of the Garcia versions (tracks 1-69). I think I may have deleted them while cleaning up my d/l folder. Would I be able to trouble you or someone for those? Much appreciated.
  8. AVI is a container format. If I remember correctly the AVI's that contain MPEG-4 video files (for example) are usually ones that play on most DVD players now-a-days and DV files contained within an AVI are not playable. I'm not well versed in this stuff, but I believe that's the gist of it anyway. Also why some burn and play, while others need to be converted into a format that has the audio and video in separate streams. Not sure about adding a codec to a DVD player though. I think conversion would be easier.
  9. Original thread on philzone appears to be gone, but an old thread on deadhook is where I read it. Page two has the above quotes I posted. http://www.deadhookforums.com/showthread.php?t=24032 Oh the irony. Your telling me.
  10. What burning program are you using? Anyway, I usually convert my .avi files first. I use DVD Flick. It's open source so it's free and it works well. http://www.dvdflick.net/ Conversion can take quite awhile, so keep that in mind. http://www.wikihow.com/Burn-DVDs-from-AVI-Files-with-DVD-Flick
  11. It has nothing to do with the supposed "dosing". Some guy (Simspon perhaps) over at Philzone earlier this year was accusing Jill of infidelity, and both Phil & Jill responded. The search result your talking about was from one of Jill's replies on philezone. Simpson is just some troll on the internet.
  12. Crazy shit.. I guess the footage just surfaced. ri8NtFGO2-0 kEWIxm2VqDQ
  13. That was my first Grateful Dead (and Band) show as well.
  14. Not sure about anyone else, but I use winamp because it plays FLACs and I have an 1TB HDD filled with live recordings. I also like how the library works and the overall look and feel better then itunes. Example: http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/4926/37161243.jpg Not to mention I have never owned an ipod.

  16. Four-disc, 52-track set featuring more than three hours of unreleased performances. Features the complete performance from London's Royal Albert Hall plus performances from Colston Hall in Bristol and Fairfield Halls in Croydon. Special guests include guitarists Eric Clapton and Dave Mason, bassist Carl Radle, drummer Jim Gordon, organist Bobby Whitlock, Jim Price and Bobby Keys on horns, percussionist Tex Johnson, and singer Rita Coolidge.

  18. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day. :chug:
  19. I remember hearing folks say/ask basically the same thing about the Grateful Dead while on tour in 87/88. As I'm sure it was asked in the 70s. Anything is possible. :2cents:
  20. I haven't seen them live, and only learned about them a couple years ago after receiving a mix of Dylan covers through a music trading group I belong to. Searched out some videos, random tracks and have enjoyed pretty much everything I've heard. If they were playing nearby I'd check them out for sure.
  21. I really didn't think Toney would win and figured Couture would move quick to get him on the mat but I was guessing round two at least, especially after seeing an interview with Toney where he was talking serious trash about this fight and how superior his training for boxing was - doesn't seem to have been the case. Props to Couture for going for the submission and not just beating Toney senseless - which after watching the fight it seems he could have done rather easily.
