Esau. got a reaction from Davey Boy 2.0 in Golden Feather
What a fun night. Golden Feather is great. I really enjoyed the show - the music is original with a great vibe, but has a aura of familiarity to it that I really enjoyed. Loved the West LA cover, I know there is a good vid floating around of that (on FB I believe). They also did a Ween cover, though I forget the name. I look forward to seeing them again, though perhaps in a warmer setting.
The whole set up at Auchmar House was pretty sweet - I loved the domes. Such a great way to present a live show in a setting/weather etc like that. Props to all involved.
Due to health issues of my own, I had already been basically social distancing and whatnot for a year or so previous to 2020, so for me this was a really stressful evening. For the first time in over 3 years I was among more than a dozen people at one time, and it wasn't in a hospital/medical setting - it was awesome.
Loved seeing, talking and dancing with so many folks at the show I haven't seen in years. Wish I could have spoke with some folks more. Next time. Cheers to c-towns for hosting with a live Phish stream afterwards, fuck its been a long time since I did anything like that and it felt awesome, even though my nerves finally got the best of me eventually.. Very much appreciated.
[edit to add]
If anyone ends up having an extra for the Casbah show, please keep me in mind. I could use one. Cheers.

Esau. reacted to guitarberman in Grateful Zuffalo's Strange & Skeletonal Molecular Machine
--- LIVE MUSIC IS BACK FROM THE DEAD---
Enter the time machine backwards to 1972 where Zuffalo will perform selections from the Grateful Dead's Europe '72 album. Then, enter the machine once again, but forwards this time, to experience the phantasmagoria on the walls of 2021 and a final set of Zuffalo original music. Your peers will be costumed, so zombies will walk freely, and beasts will go unidentified. Let the music enter your metaphysical mind and create a night to remember.
Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 8:00 PM EDT
pin 1355 St Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON M6E 1C5, Canada https://www.zuffalo.ca/tickets

Esau. reacted to edger in Greg Hemmings hunting for Wook 17 from A Head's Tale
Yes I have a vague recollection of this as well. Didn't 'Uncle Ted' end up with his mug on that site as well? I think it was actually a photo from ghost town.
By the way Greg do you remember that first come together. We all drove up in your van. Arrived in the dark and was trying to park somewhere in the perimeter. Whichever hippy was navigating you as we backed in ended up getting you wedged between two trees. Lol. That was a great weekend. I think I drove your van on from there to the Gleesons' chalet in Thornbury/Collingwood. More good times. That seems like a lifetime ago.

Esau. got a reaction from Davey Boy 2.0 in Greg Hemmings hunting for Wook 17 from A Head's Tale
Didn't Greg start a thread here re: this topic way way back, not long after film release? Shame he hasn't had any luck all these years.
I remember being at Greg's house in Saint John a couple days before 'A Head's Tale' was released and he was showing us the film, asking if we knew any of the folks names he had lost/didn't get. This being one of them.

Esau. reacted to kookycanooky in oh hey there
For some reason, maybe talking to Ken (KC) yesterday, during my workday today compelled me to revisit the live music archive and take a trip down memory lane. I stumbled on Fat Cats NYE 31/12/04 (
(Bless, Esau!). Listened to the whole thing, so many memories. Somehow ended up on the original Lose Yer Shoes website (still being hosted by oocities.org), and flipped through hundreds of photos of LYS, Come together... thinking of Bradm... Kevin Rieth. Sad memories but also amazing memories. What a time to have been alive all things considered eh?? Glad this place is still kicking. Thanks for reading!

Esau. reacted to Pablo Sanchez in So I have a new instrumental trio that is pretty fun
Turns out that playing guitar in a improv focused trio is actually my favourite thing in the world to do.
By a very strange turn of events, I've started a project with Chas Guay and Matt Aston called Original Sound Track. I was introduced to Chas years ago in PEI by Punk. Chas was his bass guitar mentor coming up. So Chas now lives in Ottawa and we got something started around Sept 2019. This band is really like 90% pure improv at this point. That being said, I feel like we are tearing a hole in the universe weekly and honestly that is pretty much everything I need from music.
Posting hand held jam room recordings weekly here: https://soundcloud.com/user-77130993-304645937/nov-11-jam-3-m
Looking forward to maybe playing for people someday
