Add Red Rocks Show as Band Makes Return from Hiatus in 2018 After announcing their return to the stage with two nights at The Capitol Theatre, moe. will continue to bolster their 2018 touring slate with a newly added show at Red Rocks. Slated for July 12, the show will find the group returning to the famed Morrison, CO venue where they recently played a triple bill with Gov’t Mule and Blackberry Smoke in the summer of 2016. The new shows come after bassist Rob Derhak was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. Derhak updated his status, noting that he has made “tremendous strides” after receiving treatment. “Although it’s still not clear what the future brings, the positivity and love that I’m feeling for moe.’s and my next chapter is beyond exciting,” Derhak said in a statement. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning December 1 at 10 AM MT. All ticketing information can be found here. The video (above), which comes just a few days after moe. announced their return to the stage following Derhak’s cancer treatment, features the bassist and his son playing around a bit before the elder Derhak expresses his excitement to get back on stage with his band and their return to Summer Camp. The festival will again take place at Chillicothe’s Three Sisters Park on Memorial Day weekend next year. Ticket sales begin next week on November 22 at noon CST. All Summer Camp information can be found here. Read more: https://www.jambands.com/news/2017/11/17/rob-derhak-shares-video-announcing-summer-camp-2018-with-moe-and-umphrey-s-mcgee/#ixzz4ytCqx8EH
  3. https://www.jambase.com/article/neil-young-unleash-online-archives-free-december-1 While 2017 has been one of the quietest years of legendary artist Neil Young‘s career, December 1 is a date fans should mark on their calendars. Not only will Neil release a new album entitled The Visitor featuring Promise Of The Real, but he’ll also unveil his completearchives for free. As pointed out by Gary Graff, Neil recently shared a message on Facebook detailing what to expect, “December 1st will be a big day for me. The Visitor will be coming to your town. I will be going to my town. You will be able to hear me and see me. My archive will open on that same day, a place you can visit and experience every song I have ever released in the highest quality your machine will allow. It’s the way it’s supposed to be. In the beginning, everything is free.” There’s a note on the NeilYoungArchives.com from Young detailing what lies ahead. It appears Neil has finally settled on a format in which he feels comfortable. Xstream Music high resolution streaming by OraStream is said to “allow the listener to hear all of the music available at his or her current listening location” regardless of available bandwidth. “Xstream Music master recordings are always pure uncompressed masters. They are not part of a format that compromises the quality. All compression formats compromise quality,” wrote Neil. He admits he created the site “for myself as much as for everyone else. I am very interested in collecting and organization, as well as mechanical things and old school record keeping. What we have built here at NYA (Neil Young Archives) is a result of a great effort by many people over a long period of time. A timeline will soon be live in which fans can explore Young’s vast catalog. The archives span 1963 through “today’s date.”
  4. Hey Drupe, Do you know Mauve Grove? Toronto band.
  5. Great News! I remember seeing moe, in 2004 at the pier, in Buffalo, 1 week before bonnaroo. It was $20, two stages, Moe-2 sets, Galactic, Xavier Rudd, Nero between galactic and moe sets, xavier rudd and nero would be playing. moe had nero stickers all over their amps, and was saying how much they love nero and want to bring them to bonnaroo. During one moe set, galactic joined in 1 instrument at a time for a complete band take over, jammed and then moe, took back their gear, to continue jamming
