  1. As a musician I wish VIEW came out on a Tuesday but as a music fan I could care less. I understand what you're getting at though and your site looks very appealing. Who knows maybe i'll be eating my words on this one. hahahawawa ..... wait a minute, I like Prince.
  2. Hamiltonians have VIEW Magazine Seriously no central place. I thought VIEW Mag has been that for years, in print and on the web. I do wish you all the best and totally respect what you're doing. It's just I never had a problem keeping up on the local happenings. VIEW Mag and the Spec have worked very well for me and I'm not really interested in personalizing another calendar. All i do is go to events and it's pretty easy to do so as it is. Sorry to be a dick
  3. You're right it is a hard call. I guess the coach needs to believe the starters will hold their momentum and will be ready to play.
  4. I guess if you put it that way quite a few teams coasted into the playoffs ... every team that had clinched their position rested their starters. Unfortunately with the Raptors I feel they should have kept the starters on the floor because of their lack of experience.
  5. No they didn't. It was two losses heading into the playoffs, one against Detroit, and the other we shouldn't have lost to Philadelphia by 3 points. And the starters didn't play much in those games and some of them didn't play at all. Before that we won 9 out of 10 games. I don't think that's coasting into the playoffs. But that's just my opinion.
  6. Nice! Just under two weeks to go. I’m listening to the boys right now and I’m getting pretty excited. They sure are good at what they do. Pretty excited to see the Fat Cats again as well.
  7. At Wassabi's level any experienced promoter would simply cross the M&M item out, plus anything else they aren’t willing to provide, and send the contract back. Done It's common place for contracts to be altered and adjusted to suit the promoter and their abilities.
  8. Really? I don't doubt you but I just figured they were joking to see if promoters actually did it. Wassabi aren't rock stars and I'm sure most promoters don't support their M&M fiasco. If it is in fact not a joke I must say that I now think Wassabi is the fucking joke. I highly doubt Ken or Brodie support this.
  9. I assume by skills you mean her ability to meet dirty old men. Becuase had she not met dirty old Mutt Lang........she'd still be slutin' it up in Timmins. Of course ... what was I thinking. You're right she doesn't have any talent.
  10. I think it sucks for musicians. As an example Shania Twain got her start in bars when she was a child and those gigs developed her skills. I’m sure there have been many well known artists that have gone this route. Famous or not there are a lot of underage musicians trying make a move. I was playing in bars when I was 16 and I really don’t feel age should make a difference in the entertainment industry.
  11. Underage musicians can no longer jam in Alberta bars Young Alberta performers who cut their musical teeth in bars and lounges will have to find somewhere else to play because the province's liquor commission has stopped issuing special youth permits. Continued...
  12. I’ve seen Luke whacked out on dope so many times, acting like a fool, and ruining shows for many of the people in attendance. I’d like to see a critic write a piece about how Luke thinks he’s the music authority yet all he does is annoy the fuck out of people at shows.
  13. Chameleon Project fucking blow. They've been at it for over 5 years so if they're still trying to develope their sound I think they should call it quits. Seriously they really aren't very good. Even Jommoma is better.
  14. Police said that the operation covered more than 60,000 square feet of space and had been set up to operated 24 hours a day. The site was outfitted with over 1,000 high-powered lights and was capable of producing as many as three or four crops annually. The "factory" that operated around the clock and was capable of producing $100-million worth of marijuana annually, likely destined for the international market, had been in operation for at least one year, said OPP Deputy Commissioner Vaughn Collins. Sources: Toronto Star. “Pot bust biggest ever. Marijuana grown in former brewery. Operation had dorm for workers.†January 12 2004 // Globe and Mail. “Pot bust worth $30-million, police say.†January 12 2004 // Toronto Star. “Police stunned by grow-op's sophistication. Say millions spent on brewery reno. 'Factory' pot worth $100M a year.†January 13 2004 Look I’m not trying to be a pain in the ass and I think we’re both happy about the bust but you’re the one who said it was the Molson people and then went on to suggest it was silly the media was spinning the pot stuff from the ecstasy bust. Just because the media didn’t suggest the connection, or maybe they did, doesn’t make it any less legit. I didn’t hear the CTV report but if your facts are true I have no problem with the media highlighting the connection between marijuana, organized crime, and ecstasy. If they earned $100 million from the Molson operation and were never arrested I don’t think it would take much to produce $21 million profit in ecstasy. I’m also guessing they probably have a few Molson size operations functioning in Ontario that will go unnoticed. And I read that the marijuana industry in Canada is a $10 billion market annually so I think there’s enough money to buy all the other drugs. So yeah I think there are enough grow-ops to fund $21 million profit in ecstasy ... easily.
