  8. Yes, two very exciting bands to see. I have seen Cornmeal a bunch of times and they can really rock a house. The Bridge I have not seen.... oh oh could I ever be more excited to see them.

  11. It's official.... Cornmeal and The Bridge are coming to Toronto on Thursday Nov 5th. Two killer bands playing back to back. http://thebridgemusic.inticketing.com/events/47979/Underground--The-Drake
  12. Should know something more about the second band in the next few days....
  13. Now looks like there is also going to be a second US band on the bill. This has not been confirmed yet, anyone know who it might be ?
  14. Hey what do you have against old farting ?
  15. I think the Underground could be a great new room to host these kinds of shows. Great rooftop patio for pre drinking and kind of a cool vibe overall in the hotel. Yes, the sound in there is great. The basement kind of reminds me of The Comfort Zone but way less dirty.
  16. Dont know yet but assume one of the usual suspects though the Drake Underground has been rumored.
  17. Looks like Conrmeal will be making a trip north of the boarder to Toronto the first week in Nov. Just in time to come down from the big fest 8.
  18. From what I hear these guys should be making an appearance north of the boarder in the near future.
  19. Really been digging a band from Baltimore Maryland called "The Bridge" who have been making some waves over the past few years both touring and on the festival circuit. Don't know how many peeps in Canada know them but well worth checking out as they rock out big time. Yesterday I stumbled on this live recording of them and figured that I would share it. Kind of starts off slow and really builds over the course of the show. By mid set the band explodes and explores the outer limits of there bluesy and funky sound. There is a killer cover of Robert Palmer's "Sneaking Sally Through the Alley" followed by "Station Blues and my personal favorite "Heavy Water". The last part of the show is just so dam good. Curious to know what peeps think as they have not played in Canada yet? Download: http://www.archive.org/details/bridge2009-02-12.flac16 Band Site: http://www.thebridgemusic.com/
