Hey guys, I am looking to get more involved in the music scene in the toronto area. I just moved recently to Mississauga and I am looking to get involved with some Jam bands in the area. I am hoping to find a band that is need of a sound guy to help them out at their live gigs. I have experience as a touring sound tech and have experience in live mixing with local bands before I started touring. I have spent the last 5 years working as a Pro Tools engineer for a production company so I am also looking for bands who are interested in going into the studio and record some tracks. I have a couple of studios that I have worked at in the area and I also have a small portable recording rig for recording a few tracks at a time. I also have a the setup to do in-the-box mixes with my Pro Tools rig at home if any band has any tracks they need mixed. Because I am trying to get my foot in the door, I am willing to offer my services on a volunteer basis to start with the hope to develop into something bigger. I also play a little guitar so if anyone is interested in just jamming sometime, I am interested in that too! Some of my biggest musical influences are Phish, Umphrey's McGee, John Butler Trio, Bob Marley, the Beatles, Tool, Frank Zappa, etc... Let me know if anyone is interested in finding out more!
