  1. I don't know why you would hold off. It works on legacy systems too (swipe).
  2. Heading to the game tonight. Looking forward to it.
  3. I feel like I did when we climbed ropes in gym class.
  4. I'd love to go to this run, but only if I win the lottery (or a massive poker tournament). AC is a pricey run, and one that I am diving into head first with no regrets. NYC is SO expensive on and around NYE. If you have a place to crash that's one thing, but any decent hotel will be obscenely expensive. Right now, the Hotel Pennsylvania across the street from MSG (which I would hardly even call decent) is charging $1,100 for the three night run.
  5. What extra show are you speaking of Sean? Phish was always going to play a minimum of 3 nights at MSG. And no, I don't think you can put these in the "tough ticket" realm. I mean, there is no chance it will be $220 to just get in the door like it is for AC.
  6. Worst kept secret ever. I'd love to be there on NYE, but I don't think it will be in the plans.
  7. From wiki: A mnemonic device (pronounced /nɨˈmɒnɨk/[1]) is a mind memory and/or learning aid. Commonly, mnemonics are verbal—such as a very short poem or a special word used to help a person remember something—but may be visual, kinesthetic or auditory. Mnemonics rely on associations between easy-to-remember constructs which can be related back to the data that is to be remembered. This is based on the principle that the typical human mind much more easily remembers spatial, personal, surprising, sexual, humorous or otherwise meaningful information than arbitrary sequences.
  8. Here's the quote: Phil: I use minimonic devices. Like the other day I met this guy named Karl. Now, I might forget that name, but he was wearing a Grateful Dead t-shirt. What's a band like The Grateful Dead? Phish. Where do fish live? The ocean. What else lives in the ocean? Coral. Hello Karrrrrrl! Claire: I think it is mnemonic.
  9. This was my first post. Someone on the ctree email list suggested I check out this board to find people in need of a ride to Trey at Darien for the 6/16/2002 show. PassedOutGuy responded and as he and his girlfriend at the time had nonrefundable bus tickets to Buffalo, I offered to pick them up at the bus station and drive the rest of the way. Well, when I pulled up to the bus station in Buffalo, there was a "crackhead-looking" couple sitting outside seemingly waiting for someone. I believe I rolled my windows down, and they started approaching. For a moment I considered jamming the gas and getting the hell out of there. Then I saw two smiley hippies walking out of the station. Deep exhale and a *whew* moment. Bob introduced me to the rest of the scene. Fucker.
  10. Hey don't blame Booche I gave him strict orders with those DVDs.
  11. Into the Wind has not aired in the USA on ESPN. This is the world tv premiere, with ESPN showing it next week.
  12. That was one of several rumours. Of course, AC was rumoured on PT for some time too.
  13. That's not what I said - just said it isn't an issue because other than that exact venue there are no other Phish shows anywhere close. That said it sounds like them playing in the same venue in the following days necessitated this?
  14. AD they are playing the next 3 nights in the same venue, and as anyone in Colorado (or out west) will attest, proximity is not an issue.
  15. Because Phish isn't going to play a set. I figure, with it listed like this, JEMP will take their turns sitting in with the other groups, then maybe play a song or two themselves before a "superjam" finish. I think it is intentionally written like that so people don't go in expecting to see a Phish set.
  16. There were no "regular mail" options for Americans either, had to be courier, will call, ticketfast or outlet pick-up.
  17. Ug if they do that for the AC shows I will be pissed.
  18. That's weird for Charleston there was a mail option for Canada.
