  1. Sean I get that both images are based on the original Dog Faced Boy, but the Phish ticket image and the Genesis gig poster are identical. Not similar. Identical.
  2. So instead you are saying that Nate Duvall ripped off another artist? And it just happened to be a Genesis concert poster, a band that Phish inducted into the RRHOF this year?
  3. Saw this on the net today, and it certainly is interesting. I've been away from the tronz all weekend, so take this with a grain of salt. Phish announcement image: Now, look at the image of this Genesis Poster from a September 18-20 run of shows in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Wachovia Center. What does this mean?
  4. It's actually a TAB song that debuted in May. They soundcheck it often.
  5. I acted through high school. I did not appear on television.
  6. Let's just put it this way. Chewie does NOT want me to start the same thread about him.
  7. Pretty sure I relayed that story here before.
  8. I forgot that this was an Ottawa forum.
  9. I know some of you will be very excited to hear this news. KFC Double Down coming to Canada KFC is rolling out the Double Down – its infamous breadless chicken sandwich – in all its gluttonous glory to Canada later this month. "Canadians have been begging KFC Canada to bring the Double Down north of the border ever since it launched in the U.S. last year," Dan Howe, the fast-food giant's chief marketing officer, said in a release. The sandwich uses two boneless chicken fillets in place of the bun — then squeezes two pieces of bacon, two slices of processed Pepper Jack cheese and some sauce in between. While low in carbs, this diet-destroying dish has 540 calories, 30 grams of fat and a whopping 1,740 milligrams of sodium. "Double Down has so much 100 per cent, premium seasoned chicken, we didn't have room for a bun," Howe said. More than 10 million Double Downs were sold in the U.S. in less than a month after it launched there in April. The sandwich be sold for a limited time in Canada, between Oct. 18 and Nov. 14.
  10. $315 all in to fly from Toronto to/from the NYC shows on Porter with that code (Dec. 30th in, Jan. 2nd out). Great deal.
  11. Pretty shady to be scamming free tickets to a benefit show. I kid, I kid. Congrats and enjoy!
  12. Sorry I was not clear. Maybe this will help: StubHub FanProtect Guarantee What does FanProtectTM mean for Buyers? It means security. We don't charge your card until the Seller confirms that your tickets will be delivered. And in the rare instance that your order is not confirmed by the Seller, we will work to find other tickets for you. Our #1 goal is to get you into the event, and if we fail (and we hardly ever do), you won't be charged a cent. FanProtectTM also means service. Once your order is confirmed, we will be there for you. If anything goes wrong, we're just a phone call away -- even when you're at the venue gate. What is a confirmed order? How the FanProtectTM Guarantee protects Buyers StubHub guarantees all Buyers the following: * You will not be charged until the seller confirms your order. Once confirmed, * You will get your tickets in time for the event. * Your tickets will be authentic and valid for entry. * Your tickets will be as good as or better than the ones you ordered. * You will be refunded if the event is cancelled and not rescheduled. Benefits provided to Buyers under the FanProtectTM Guarantee Buyers will receive the following benefits under the FanProtectTM Guarantee if the requirements below are met: * If the tickets of a confirmed order are not received before the event: * If the event has not yet occurred, StubHub will attempt to locate the tickets and ensure their delivery (or attempted delivery) to the Buyer prior to the event. If the tickets cannot be located, StubHub will attempt to find comparable alternate tickets to fulfill the order. If comparable alternate tickets cannot be found or the time for the event has passed without any delivery attempt, StubHub will issue the Buyer a refund for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. * If tickets received are not the same or better than those the Buyer committed to purchase: * StubHub will investigate the complaint and determine whether the Buyer received the same or better tickets than those the Buyer committed to purchase. If StubHub determines that the Buyer did not receive the same or better tickets, StubHub will, (i) provide the Buyer with replacement tickets that are comparable or better than the tickets the Buyer committed to purchase, or (ii) at StubHub's discretion and following StubHub's receipt of the tickets from the Buyer, issue a refund to the Buyer for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. StubHub may, in its sole discretion, deem tickets received as the same or better than those the Buyer committed to purchase. * If tickets are invalid and are not honored by the venue: * In the event the Buyer encounters any problems at the venue, the Buyer is encouraged to call StubHub Customer Service immediately at 1.866.StubHub (1.866.788.2482) for assistance. If the Buyer contacts StubHub from the venue at the time of the event, StubHub will attempt to locate comparable replacement tickets for the buyer. If replacement tickets cannot be found, or if the Buyer was not able to contact StubHub before the event, StubHub will provide the Buyer with a prepaid FedEx shipping label to use in returning the tickets to StubHub along with a Ticket Return Form. Upon confirmation by the venue that the tickets were invalid, StubHub will issue the Buyer a refund for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. * If the event is cancelled or postponed: * If an event is cancelled and will not occur at a later date, StubHub will send the Buyer an email offering the Buyer the opportunity to return their tickets within 2 weeks in order to receive a refund for the full cost of the tickets, including service fees and shipping and handling charges. StubHub, in its sole discretion, will determine when an event has been cancelled. If an event is postponed or rescheduled, the Buyer may use the tickets on the rescheduled date or, time permitting, list them for sale at StubHub. If an event is postponed but replacement tickets are required for entry to the event on the rescheduled date, StubHub will work to obtain replacement tickets for the Buyer. If an event is postponed and the number of replacement tickets available is limited, StubHub may, in its sole discretion, deem the event cancelled.
  13. AD, I never said they guarantee that they have more tickets. As a last resort they will refund your money. It would appear that for some of the more in demand shows StubHub holds a small cache of tickets to address Customer Service issues.
  14. Yep. Basically they buy another ticket from those listed on their site then charge the original seller.
  15. If you buy ANY tickets from the secondary market you are assuming risk - especially if it is just some dude of craigslist. If you end up with fakes or canceled tickets your only recourse will be to file charges with police - good luck with that. As a general rule I would avoid red flags (Western Union, etc...) and if the person is willing to meet in person gather as much info as possible including checking their ID and recording all the information, while also asking for their original receipt from TicketMaster/Music Today... You can usually get a good idea of who is a scammer and who is legit by talking to them on the phone and probing a bit. All that said, I would never be confident that the tickets were legit until they were actually scanned. That's why StubHub is so popular - they guarantee the tickets and will hook you up with replacement tickets if the tickets you purchased through them don't work - they also usually set up an actual "office" location near the venues for the big events. This is in no way an endorsement of scalping.
  16. You are looking for a deal on a hotel in Manhattan on New Years Eve? Not gonna happen.
  17. Check your mail, confirmations have gone out.
  18. Perhaps it was just a little unclear.
  19. More misinformation. Let's try to make this as clear as possible: IF you have a CHIP debit or credit card AND the merchant machine accepts CHIP cards then you MUST insert the card and you will not be able to swipe.
