  1. Was just about to post that. SuperBall9?!?
  2. maybe they wanted permission from Nawang Khechog ?
  3. The song they've been playing on CBC Radio 2 is pretty bad. Sounds like someone trying their hardest to write something that sounds like 'Americana' but failed.
  4. @cmorriskingston is me. My tweets alternate between real estate, folk music, Phish, Kingston shit, and other miscellaneous debris.
  5. HAVE a blast ... I thought it was last night for some reason. I'll be singing folk songs a few blocks away at the RCHA Club anyways ...
  6. aka me? I'm not really too keen on live comedy. Watching comedy on TV is just as good as being there in person, IMO. Hope you had a blast though ...
  7. Would have? He's not dead. Just his career is
  8. "I didn't TAKE cocaine, I had to PAY for it" Genius.
  9. Love The Hip, like Buck 65, not interested in the rest ... let's hope for Phish that weekend
  10. with Phish, DMB, and The Hold Steady?

    Who is Phish?

the "who is" doesn't concern me as much as "who cares"
  12. it says 'no touring' ... which means they still may do a short 'ween or NYE run
  13. The only seque I've ever dug more than Taste - > DwD is Bowie - > Possum from 12/29/97. Just saying
  14. It's the anniversary of one my favourite Phish shows, and incidentally the first one I ever had on tape. The second set still stands, to me, as one of the best. Set 1: Soul Shakedown Party[1], The Divided Sky, Wilson > My Soul, Guyute, Timber (Jerry) > Billy Breathes, Llama, Bathtub Gin > Golgi Apparatus Set 2: The Squirming Coil -> Down with Disease -> Carini[2] -> Taste -> Down with Disease > Suzy Greenberg > Prince Caspian Encore: Sleeping Monkey > Rocky Top [1] Phish debut. [2] Debut. Notes: This show marked the debut of Carini and the Phish debut of Soul Shakedown Party.
  15. anyone have a link to that show? etree has an .shn, but I'd be just as happy with mp3
  16. I watched Standing In The Shadows Of Motown today for the first time since it came out. Goddamn that's a great movie.
  17. "The Band you knew as Brazilian Girls is over. Thank you all so much for your support! We love you!"
  18. She does speak 5 languages ... perhaps she changed at the end of 'riddance'?
  19. So Brazilian Girls posted on facebook earlier today that Sabina was no longer with the band. A couple of hours later, this was posted on their page: "those fuckers fired me because i am a mother. what a world! anyway, i'll keep making music without them. good bye and good riddens. I love you all, stay posted, you can't keep a good woman down! Sabina" I haven't found out anything else ...
  20. You're totally right Bouche about the selections they display. The X-Box and Wii interfaces are quite different from each, and neither of them offer a 'music & musicals' category that the website has. Ruby Gloom is a good cartoon for kids. My daughter is 6 and loves it, but younger than that is not ideal. Black Adder season 1 is great. Addams Family season 1 is a lot of fun too.
  21. You really shouldn't reference Dr. Phil when looking for credibility here ...
  22. "stooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneddd" - Dave Matthews, repeatedly at the Congress Centre
  23. I saw them in 98 at the Civic Center in Ottawa ... great show, great venue.
  24. I use these guys - http://www.aeroinsurancebrokers.com/ - and have been very happy with them, but I get a good discount through the Ontario Real Estate Association. Otherwise, call around locally to some insurance brokers, they can usually give you 4 or 5 options for different companies to go with. I would recommend avoiding banks and places with limited choice. IMO of course.
