  1. And I tried embedding it with the code from ReverbNation but it wasn't working. Bah.
  2. I wrote one. My old band Keteela recorded one it in 2000ish. New Year's Eve
  3. I'm still looking for the guy that I sold two tickets to 12/31/98 to. Fucker never paid me.
  4. Making a list of the 'best concerts' is kind of funny I think, because there's probably quite a large number of great shows that you didn't attend because you didn't like the band. For example I hear Brooks & Dunn are one of the best live bands in country music, but there's a pretty slim chance I'd go see them. Were you at any opera or symphony concerts?
  5. praise baby jesus that was good funny. Thanks Doc.
  6. those are fuckin awesome
  7. I'm the same as schwa. There's a couple of videos of me playing mando at the Kingston Folk Club on my youtube page ... www.youtube.com/skelter2006 but no "picking"
  8. there is perhaps 2 intelligent comments out of every 1000 posts on a news message boards. The local Whig Standard site has had 2 in the last several years ...
  9. interesting the Arkells/Jim Bryson are $2 more than Matt Anderson
  10. try using one of these on your computer
  11. I think it's kinda funny. But then again, we should all know better than to take anything he says seriously ... kinda like the Bill O'Reilly of Canadian sportscasting.
  12. Luke, you're going to find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. Anakin was a good friend. When I first knew him, your father was already a great pilot. But I was amazed how strongly the Force was with him. I took it upon myself to train him as a Jedi. I thought that I could instruct him just as well as Yoda. I was drunk.
  13. nice one ersh. D Funk, it's for charity, buy it
  14. buying a 4 CD set of two nearly-identical shows is kind of silly ...
  15. that price is pretty cheap I'd say, compared to something you could get around here. Taxes are fuckin crazy though.
  16. if only I was licensed to sell in California ...
  17. I can't believe no one mentioned Jack Black / Tenacious D
  18. Scarlett Johanssen's song with Pete Yorn is pretty good ... CBC Radio 2 plays it a lot. Mandy Moore ended up being a better actor than singer, and J-Lo was an actress before having a movie career, and while her music generally blows, it is rather popular.

  21. 'us' is jamband fans. Bonnaroo is so much more mass market than it was when it started. Admittedly it's because there's not very much money in jam bands anymore. I still dig the line up every year, but on paper there's nothing that makes Bonnaroo stand out from the others, anymore. IMO
  22. I should have been more specific ... I was referring to the lineup. 'Roo stopped catering to us years ago
  23. My status was the same, although I respectfully declined to include 'RIP Julia' as I'm pretty sure we never met, and my daughter is named Julia, and that would have been awkward to say the least. Brian, as mentioned, I'm not sure we've ever met (maybe briefly at P&F Rochester) but I've been thinking about you since I read this last night ... I can only hope that my long-distance vibes can reach you, and those closest to you both, and provide some form of comfort to you now and the time to come.
