  3. and yet another reason for me to wish that I'd get my priorities straight/crooked so that I would finally take those drum lessons I've been dreaming of for the past 2 years. oy.

    Legal info?

I was only ever in one accident...and was not taken to hospital so this might be different. And it was years ago, so maybe I'm not remembering it right....but I think that I got a copy of the police report and called it into my insurance company myself. That probably doesn't help. Hope you're ok now...recovering well?
  5. what are the jumper settings now on your dvd-rom?
  6. does the drive at least spin the cd/dvd? does said cd/dvd play in any other cd/dvd player?
  7. I wonder how much I will pay for it....guess I'll wait until I hear it. It will probably be difficult to not throw my entire savings at them. damn....what to do, what to do. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEE
  8. I had a snow-day at work today...crapola network allll day long. We went for breakfast from 9-11am and then a delicious liquid lunch from 1-3pm. Good times.
  9. What time will it start on Wed (Ottawa)?
  10. Where? Who? When? sometimes, I really miss Kingston...especially for its bowling lanes. Seems like it's all 5-pin here???
  11. When I worked at McD's, 50 and 100's had to be checked by mgmt before being accepted. I remember a $50 bill that just didn't look right. I did all the tests I knew of but it came out clean...until I compared it with another 50 bill and it was slightly smaller. I gave the guy a free meal and gave him back the bill. I didn't try to keep the bill but I did tell him it was counterfeit (he was a regular customer) and that he should "get rid of it." If banks can't catch them, why should I?
  12. Happy (belated) Birthday, Dave! You're a fabulous being and I MISS YOU!

    Blue Rodeo

The best chance for me hitting that is not having to drive Andre to work that morning....lucky for me, he's on holidays still. What are the chances that they'll play around 7am? I have to be at work for 8. Guess I'll take my chances and have some tasty coffee!
  14. We definitely have stuff. We moved out of the apartment with stuff that we were going to donate but have not yet got around to donating. Does he just need clothes, or other stuff too? I can certainly put together a package for him. Could you pm me with some more details please?
  15. getting the grumps is aweful...and sometimes difficult to kick. When I get this way, I need to laugh. Lounging/relaxing only seems to make me feel worse. So get out to a stand-up comedy act, or rent Dennis Leary's No Cure For Cancer. Watch it over and over and over. And then rent Delirious. Wish I was feeling funny right now...but I'm drawing blanks. I'll give it try though, just for you: Andre's armpits stink...more than normal. My doggie brings me presents. aka empty beer cans. Empty? that's not a present. I wrote an exam yesterday and someone farted. One of those high-pitched squeeky ones. No one laughed. I was bursting at the seams. Andre farts on the dog just to watch him sniff it. I was eating lunch in the caf today with a friend. Some guy was staring at us like we were aliens. I proceeded to eat my sandwich like I had not eaten in days...growls, snorts and all. "arrrr mmmm. I love my sandwich. It's arr mmm deee-licious." growl, snort. here's a fun thing you can try - sing a song all wrong - change the words, the keys, the timing everything - as loud as you can.
  16. I'm a speeder, but only when it makes sense...ie: following the traffic. It's rare that I ever need to drive more than 20km/hr over the limit. On city streets (40 - 50km/hr), I always stay within 10km/hr over...trying to maintain the limit though. There's obviously a reason why the limit is low. Imagine a kid running out to the street. I sure as hell would want to be able to stop as quickly as possible. Speed bumps are the way to go for slow areas - forces everyone to slow down.
  17. Happy belated birthday, Ollie
  18. I'm so sorry Bob. My thoughts are with you and Mel
