Unless it was someone else, Lenny's mics were directly above the seat that I had a ticket for. Someone else scored my spot and I found other places to enjoy the show. So glad to have the 201 ticket. They only check tickets going towards the stage and there were a few times that the air up on the lawns and the view of the Canadian Flag distantly waving in the breeze (like several people up on the lawns, strangely enough) made my night. I felt pretty high up, on the lawns... ...and in my seat...and in the bathroom...and riding shotgun back to Kingston that night. What a great first Phish show. I'm pretty sure that I 'get' it. I was kinda worried that I would have felt like an asshole all night. Crisis averted. Thanks, everybody. What a great make-up concert.

if you're doing the beer thing use a saucer. I would suggest that you get a couple of ducks. They lay eggs that are - by all accounts I've heard - delicious. Ducks think that slugs are delicious. And they're adorable animal cohabitants. Just remember: If you don't eat eggs your neighbours probably do. They just might have a few extra brews for you now and then for it. But for now...a saucerful of beer will attract slugs and you can drink the rest of the beer for good measure. No waste at all.

I don't think Bluesfest gigs, let alone Ottawa gigs are appropriate to put up to standalone shows in a major city with promotion. If the toronto show doesn't at least have half the seats filled I wouldn't expect to see those buses cross the border again.

So if an officer only has access to handguns and tactical shotguns when called in for an incident like this, and an officer has greater accuracy and ability with a long gun, then shouldn't the "What's the likelihood of an innocent party being shot and killed if they do use the gun?" comment be reserved for the handguns and tactical shotguns? Reebok has a disctinct opportunity to revive the CCM bicycle brand by offering crank-forward bikes with in-hub gears if they can sell them for considerably less than Electra does AND make more city/commuter-friendly crank-forward classc designs.
