  1. I’ll be there! On the lawn? If I were up front I’d offer to stub ya.
  2. I'd love to see these guys tour again. What a world we get to live in where we have to begrudgingly bask in the greatness of the Barr Brothers in lieu of the Slip.
  3. Niagara Falls’ Road Waves are playing the Rainbow tonight. they’re getting jamfans out in Southern Ontario...will I see any of you out tonight when I’m down there? https://www.facebook.com/events/222201991701578/?ti=icl
  4. If I make it back for Chaka Khan we’ll definitely be checking out KNOWER.
  5. I thought I’d put this here. Some of you might just love these guys...some might love their beards (and glasses).
  6. Tonight at the Rex in Toronto, Tomorrow in Syracuse.
  7. Forq is an instrumental quartet with an aggressive sound and a penchant for sonic exploration. This all-star band based has just completed their third album - Thrēq- which was released on August 4, 2017. Originally founded by keyboardist Henry Hey (David Bowie, Empire of the Sun, Jeff "Tain" Watts) and bassist Michael League (Grammy-winning founder of Snarky Puppy), Forq is joined by guitarist Chris McQueen (Snarky Puppy, Foe Destroyer, Bokanté), drummer Jason "JT" Thomas (Roy Hargrove’s RH Factor, Marcus Miller, D’Angelo) and bassist Kevin Scott (Wayne Krantz. Colonel Bruce Hampton). Their group sound draws from various musical paths of its members. Henry Hey is the keyboardist and co-leader of groundbreaking instrumental quartet, Rudder, and some of that sound can be heard in the music of Forq. Drummer Jason Thomas has a musical history rich in authentic Texas blues and swampy funk. Guitarist Chris McQueen brings his singular sonic approach coupled with highly melodic soloing. Kevin Scott produces a low-end force that is influenced by his southern roots and his vast and eclectic music experiences.
  8. Thanks for this. There are so many technologies out there that we’re just unaware of. It makes me think that there are opportunities out there to make anreal difference in the lives of others. This week’s mass shooting was a clear example. I was made aware of some conspiratorial subjects awhile back. someor told me that coil spring mattresses can act like antenna arrays and transmit dirty energy from outlrnenvironment into our bodies (a sort of reverse HAARP (sorry, let’s not get too far gone here)) and that led me to watch some videos...that, frankly, made me remember why I stopped perusing the internet at all hours of the day and night. Long story short, if our inner ears can be used like communication linkups via microwave frequencies (V2K), there is a clear and present opportunity for direct counselling to people that would either become violent or suicidal. Similarly, it would be an opportunity to address non-physiological/neurological symptomatic mood disorders and addictive/compulsive behaviours. I’m still asking my counsel for the transcripts so that I can work out comedy bits and storyboard a screenplay.
  9. I like that "more" band. They seem to play a lot of festivals.
  10. Finger Lakes the week before! Camp/vaycay/fit to a summer tour?
  11. You could get in your car and drive to Hamilton and ring in the new year with a Gong Bath.
  12. I’m willing to fill my car from the Golden Horseshoe today if there are people that want to make the trip with me. I’m in Hamilton. 613.850.3897
  13. Who wants to get together and pick some tunes in Hamilton? I live downtown and so Far I can’t hear my neighbours who are also musicians
  14. I was impressed all around. The company at the show and after, the touching voice of Mark Thackaway, the upper register bass sweeps, and the ebb and flow of vitality onstage that led a willowy band of crazed marionettes like they were in a theatre in Hamelin. I was glad to not have gotten too pied. it’s always a treat to be reminded just how special a group of fans there is here.
  15. I remember Marco sending me back with Panther, their tour van, to get a high hat stand from my place. We broke some bread while the Rick Mercer Report was on, mused about a takeout/delivery soup restaurant idea he’d had and got me out of my head for awhile. That’s usually all it takes.
  16. What a great example of kindness and friendship in humanity. I’m selfishly sad but feel so blessed that we were able to have had him in our lives.
  17. I don't know who THAT GUY is but it's great to think about old friends anytime.
