Any worry about the rash of Canadians getting murdered in Mexico over the last few years, the most recent being the unsolved killing of a B.C. man? Just curious.
when I read the Sun on weekends I get the impression Toronto's one big gun-totting looney bin, but when I visit its mostly smiling people and a healthy hustle bustle of busy... figure Mexico's a lot like that... like AD said, the odds are decidedly against you running into trouble
if there's a gun in your city there's a possiblility you can get shot, don't mean you're going to... anyone I know who's been to Mexico loved it... a girl I know moved into a cabin by herself in a very rural area for 4 months after living in Mexican cities for a 2 months and just always says it was one of the best times of her life... have fun!

imagine the street burrito vendors vary throughout town but I lived on em when I was there, super tasty and enourmous
also enjoyed Jack Kerouac Alley, met a few artists and such, great coffee... other people've told me its touristy but I didn't really notice
people are very nice near the black area off the panhandle
have fun! =)

yays, a really interesting sounding band... love the way the mix sounds between tribal african rythyms/vocals and southern delta blues
were also supposed to play pepperjacks next wednesday but it got cancelled (first I heard it was because of the singers visa... is it tougher for african folk to get into canada than the states?)
glad I'm aware of them anyways... check some of the songs of their myspace, some cool shlit

Good news! Tommy has his own official website now:
It is completely worth a visit for the video montage and the personal note.
thanks! needed a Google replacement to start my day
(nice to get the "Build The Tom Cruise Website" contract... figure it'd be worth a cool mill at least... own mansion (full of jumping couches) built within a 5 minute run of Tom's case of late night inspirations... Steve Job's number already programmed onto your Blackberry speed dial in case the custom Mac ever goes down... maybe even get to attend the little one's birthday party)
edit to add: beautifully designed and coded site though, wasn't knocking it... nice soft touch for a site almost exclusively done in flash... the content is way over the top but that reflects the client perfectly so thumbs up from here

"Commercial interests in the United States have capitalized on the celebration, advertising Mexican products and services, with an emphasis on beverages,[12] foods, and music.[13][14]"
awesome picture on that wiki page
nonetheless... cheers to our Mexican friends, may neither of our lands ever be consumed by right-wing america

"hmmm... another damn oxy, with a tasty twist of blue flake, just for flavor of course... or climb out of this rut and write a new exciting segue that'll revitalize Fluffhead, for me and for everyone... Page what should I do?"

Bash Bash Bash Bash-er Birthday!

reminds me of an acquaintance I have "hear you got a sweet new place..." "whats that supposed to mean?" wild distrustful-stare
believe Booche originally posted that youtube clip up under "why not to do acid when interviewed on Letterman" or somesuch to that affect
the Syd Barrett link off that page is a nice morning watch to get your day started right
-
And in other news, Geoff Smith's vest will not be going to the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
the 'Hux Tux', as it's defined...
