Clayton isn't much of an upgrade. The Jays are getting mixed reviews from baseball pundits on this deal. They are not addressing the future or greatly upgrading the now. Clayton is 36 and made 18 errors last year. Johnny Mac is a very good fielder, but perhaps he's better as a utility infielder.

MMJ's "Z" album is copy controlled and it sounds excellent at all volume levels, especially at 11. I've never heard that these type CD's are of a poorer quality.

Both Meche and Chacin have bloated ERA's, but I think Chacin has a better upside. He battled though injuries last year. Don't get me wrong, Chacin has a lot of work to do, but I think he still can be a consistant 12-14 win pitcher or even better. Meche has had an easier schedule pitching out west and his ERA remains well above 4.40. It really doesn't matter since the Jays haven't signed another pitcher yet.

They did a raunchy version of What A Wonderful Man. It was short even by What A Wonderful Man standards. Pretty good stuff for a one-off.

Meche is 28 and Chacin is 25 and a lefty. Regardless, Chacin is more appealing in any kind of trade.

I think it's time for Chacin to step up and be a #3 starter. Gil Meche is pretty good, but Chacin has a better upside - I feel we haven't seen everything the kid can do yet. Lily is more of a legit #4 or #3 at best. I'd actually rather have Lily than Meche because he can battle against the big boys. He usually pitches well against the Yanks and Red Sox. Meche doesn't play against these teams regularly. However, Lily will be over-paid no matter who eventually lands him.

Not only Chacin. Lily has never had a complete game in Toronto. He goes max 7 innings but more like 6 1/3. The horses are obviously Burnett and Halladay with the remaining starters really putting a tax on the middle relief guys.

Chacin has to eat up more innings. He hasn't gone past six innings ever.

The Bruins have far better young talent than the Leafs and have a sniper that the Leafs don't have. Plus the Bruins D is bigger and meaner than Toronto's and just as talented. Surprised by the win? No.

The MMJ heads are leaning towards them playing It Beats For U tonight. I hope not, but it still rocks pretty hard.

Their Conan performance of 2003 was my introduction to the band and I immediately went out and bought It Still Moves after being kicked in the face by the blistering version of One Big Holiday. I wonder what they'll do tonight? Maybe X-Mas Curtain or Off The Record... even What A Wonderful Man. I hope they don't do Wordless Chorus.

I know. I just listened to the press conference. All JP said was: Greg Zaun is our catcher. He is a professional. He takes business personally since he is his own agent etc... I'm not too sad the Barajas deal fell through. But, the Jays still need to find another platoon type catcher.

Well, class rooms were basically shut-down from showing films many years ago. However, schools are a lot easier to regulate. Isn't trying to shut-down home theatre movie nights similar to trying to stop people from having parties with your favourite CD's blaring in the background though your stereo.

The film sucks. My wife rented it and I gave it a shot. Hanks waltzed through every scene and I didn't know or care what was going on in regards to the fucking albino monk. Jean Reno had a pointless role too. The Paris scenery was great to see since I was in the Louve just last May.
