  1. Blame Lieberstein. I blame B.J. Novak.
  2. The Sens-Bruins game is numbingly boring.
  3. I saw the frontman for Bruce do an unaccompanied solo gig (he played electric guitar). It was very good. Reminded me a little of M. Ward, but more modern (Ward belongs to another era).
  4. From Ain't It Cool regarding tonight's new Office episode. "Kelly" is a good writer so I hope its good: LECTURE CIRCUIT PART 1 Written by Mindy Kaling. Michael (Steve Carell) goes on a speaking tour of the other branches to explain Scranton’s relative success, accompanied by his driver, Pam (Jenna Fischer). Back at the office, Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Jim (John Krasinski) — now the heads of the party planning committee — forget a birthday, with severe consequences. Meanwhile, Andy (Ed Helms) falls for someone he should not.
  5. Yeah right. And Kelly Kapoor produces the show' date=' huh? [/quote'] And writes episodes too. B.J. Novak also writes episodes and produces. Stephen Merchant has directed a number of episodes and I hear he may guest star in a future episode, maybe before the end of the season. I think that the show remains successful because the actors take an active role in writing and producing the show. The show doesn't get lost and watered-down with too many outside writers like The Simpsons has and the later years of Seinfeld had.
  6. Just knowing Lieberstein wrote the episode has ruined it for me. And his sister-in-law is Angela Kinsey.
  7. Man, I did sound like Basher there. Next thing you know I'll be courtside at Raptors games.
  8. Well he cant be all that good because for the most part this season has been total shite. "Toby" has written two episodes this year (season): "Goodbye Toby" and Sunday's "Stress Relief". I do not stand corrected.
  9. It has to re-air soon. The time-slot was good, but late. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Paul Liberstein is the best writer on the show.
  10. One more from the great Reg Dunlop: "...a hundred bucks of my own money for the first of my guys who really nails that creep."
  11. I've only heard a few songs from the Matt Mays album, but they are pretty good. In other news, someone needs to (insert Reg Dunlop's voice), "put a bounty on the head of Chad Kroeger."
  12. Congrats to you both. Well done indeed. I've been getting the gears about the pic I posted of The Office's Gareth, but aboslutely and positively meant no offence. I like the name, especially with two r's.
  13. I'm not sure if I love their albums, but TV on the Radio is a great live band, period.

    The Office

Paul Lieberstein, aka Toby, is the best writer on The Office. Well done with the post SuperBowl episode. One of the best in years.
  15. Do you guys think this Lang news will impel Gainey pull the trigger on a trade?
  16. Just when I thought the Raps couldn't look any less interested - see the Bucks disaster - along comes the game against the Magic. They are a disgrace.
  17. With that hat and black cape, Clarence Clemons looked like a fat Miles Davis. The Boss was good but the game was better, especially the 2nd half.
  18. Me either. Great Album choice. Disagree with me if you like (ahem New Rider)' date=' I don't care, The Edge is one of the greatest guitar players ever.[/quote'] I like that album and some of their early works. "All I Want is You" is beautiful with great Edge guitar. As a guitarist, The Edge is certainly interesting. I love how he gets power out of very few notes and riffs. Minimalist guitarists will always remain in the shawdows of shredders, but they don't deserve to be.
  19. My wife's grandmother recently gave us a mint condition 50-year old stereo (two speakers in a wood cabinet) with a AM/FM and a nice functioning turn-table. Thankfully, I still have hundreds of LPs stored away (many I will never play again: Loverboy, The Eagles). The first one I played on the stereo was the first album I owned:
  20. Only 500 were pressed. Great Canadiana:
  21. If Lynn is around a little early, come on down an visit me at work. My work is about a 5 minute walk to the CBC.
  22. Interesting lineup, but I don't like, more like hate, some of the bigger acts. Favourite name of the bunch: Ghengis Tron.
  23. Great collection though. It flows together nicely.
  24. I really like your list Greg. Love seeing Tommy Johnson and Black Ace on there. They were two terrifying dudes. If you compile another one, could you throw in some Robert Nighthawk, Junior Kimbrough and Robert Johnson?
  25. I'd love to see a rematch of Cotto and Sugar Shane.
